pickVery on board with the emerging premise of time travel mystery with friend group - suppose it's a sub subgenre, or is Vaughan my only source? If so, at least I have a few more volumes to enjoy. Love the shifting background colour palette conveying the mood, the 'younger self' pep talk, the multiple badass moments from these girls. Less explicit, but about as gory as Saga.
pickI liked this one more than the first volume. We finally got into more of the action of the story as the girls time travel to the future and meet grown-up Erin. There's still a lot to figure out but in the meantime we got giant worm-monsters attacking, time portals opening, and heart-to-hearts with future selves.

Finally got the last volume, so doing a mighty quick reread! I like the story line and the characters, but the coloring is my favorite part of this comic series. 🧡💖💜💙

pickThis vol gave more of the story line and sove further into the sci fi elements that vol 1 hinted at. I liked this vol a little more if only because I felt like I had a bit more of the story but it again landed on a confusing note as I'm sure thats to encourage moving on to the next vol.

Took a trip to my favorite comic book store today. I could have gotten the graphic novels cheaper on Amazon (except the Wonder Woman which was 40% off) but I had cash on hand and enjoyed shopping. I like the idea of keeping locally owned businesses in business. ❤️❤️❤️

So I originally read the first Paper Girls volume when it was first released! I loved it (obvi) but was bummed that there wasn't a second volume to dive into (at the time).
It got forgotten & that ended up being all I read.
Until now.
Comixology recently had a sale & I picked up 5 volumes for the price of a single issue each. 🤗

pickI enjoy the nostalgic 80s vibe of this series mixed with the time traveling aspects. It‘s a little confusing but I‘m eager to see how it all plays out. 4⭐️

pickIt‘s getting more interesting, I think. Still weird and I‘m still not 100% certain if I‘m actually enjoying it or just reading out of sheer curiosity.
Still a draw between “pick” and “so-so”; I gave it 3 stars on GoodReads.

I was recommended this by a guy at the library, in the graphic novel section. So far, I like his recommendation!!

Decided to get out of the heat here in Texas and spend a little time at my local library catching up on some graphic novels. I'm enjoying this series.
I just read Vol. 2 & 3 this week, but my library doesn‘t have Vol. 4 yet. 😕 I didn‘t like 3 as much as 1 and 2, but still looking forward to the next volume of time travel and kick-ass newspaper delivery girls.
Spring Break, day 1......
pickI never delivered papers but I remember when it was a thing (I can still hear the thud of the paper hitting the stoop) and I absolutely love indulging my 80s nostalgia with this comic. Vol. 2 sees the girls transported from 1988 to 2016 and yeah, there are some problems to deal with when the get there. Love the storyline and while the artwork isn‘t my favorite style, it definitely works with the story. Can‘t wait to read Vol. 3!!!
Ok, decided to put aside ‘Midnight at the Bright Ideas Bookstore‘ for next month‘s buddy read and will instead turn my attention to this fabulous series.
Oh man, it‘s winter in Chicago but...it‘s Friday and the sun is out! Perfect weather for a walk to Chicago Comics!!! I picked up the tagged book and Runaways #6. There is nothing better than a sunny February afternoon in the heart of winter—especially when it comes with some new comics.

pickAnother good volume--this one gave me a bit more anxiety, probably because I expected...certain people (spoilers!) to know more about what was going on! I still have no idea what is going on in this story, but I want to find out! On to volume 3!

Just finished the second volume of this beautifully bizarre series and am ready for the next! Such a unique blend of 80's-90's nostalgia, vibrant colors, and plenty of questions about time travel, teenagers, and timelines. Volume 3, here I come!
I‘m still here, I‘m sick...but I‘ve been upgraded from deaths door to deaths waiting room, so in recovery (I‘m a little dramatic). ANYWAYS I went to the big book store a while back looking for volume one, but the lady went through a lot of trouble to find this for me and I felt pressure to buy it. So I‘ve gotta find volume 1 before I start this.
Finally getting to Paper Girls, Vol. 2! And it's true, Amazon killed the radio star.

pickI'm plodding along on the #letsgetgraphicweeklongmarathon and I am so glad I finally got to the second Paper Girls. I love this comic. I love the colors. I love the art. I love that the characters are the same age as me in the 1988 and 2016 timelines. I'm so glad I have volume 3 lined up to read next! 💜💕❤️💕💜

pickSo I have so many things to do today, and they all got pushed off so I could keep going with this. The point at which someone says people over 30 are "monsters", and they remind me of my very favourite students that say absolutely everything that pops into their head (no matter how ill-advised), the series has won me for life. ❤❤❤

I have been trying to get this graphic novel from Hoopla for three weeks! I have tried at a variety of times and I always get this message 😡😡 If you have your limits set that low you should just cancel it because it‘s only frustrating for patrons 😡😡😡
