Hunger Games 2. La ragazza di fuoco
Hunger Games 2.
Invece nulla va come Katniss vorrebbe.

My favorite of the 4 Hunger Games books. I love the camaraderie, I think the depth of characterization is wonderful in the story, and Katniss‘s transformation and owning more of who she is is wonderful

Collin's trilogy depicts her dystopian universe with strong liberal undertones and remains an exemplar of modern America: capitalism and authoritarianism, environmental disaster, wealth disparity, hypocrisy and poverty. This YA series, led by a firebrand of a heroine, finely balances suspense and character/worldbuilding development without ever being tropey. In a month celebrated for a historical protest, Catching Fire is perfect reading material.

This is one of those few sequels that you keep interesting to know more about the world and the characters. The first book ended in a way that you want to continue the story. Not much to say since this is a sequel. This one also ends in a way that you want to grab that third book and devour it. The audiobook is with the same narrator. Lucky me that I started this series when all the books were available i read straight the whole series 4⭐️

Book #2 in the series. Such a twist! Don‘t want to spoil it, but Peeta and Katniss are still having to fight. It‘s hard to know who to trust, who‘s your ally and who‘s your enemy. Fast paced for sure.

Granted it was a mocking jay & not a white-winged dove as the symbol, but Katniss was on the #EdgeofSeventeen in the first two books of the series.

Love
Peeta

I can't believe I waited so long to read these books. This was a great follow-up to the first one. The imagery was phenomenal. I really feel like I was there with everyone. Which is both terrifying and awesome. I can't wait to read the 3rd one!

Katniss and Peeta return to the arena in the sequel to THG. These are such fast reads, fast pacing, lots of emotions! We are introduced to some new characters while watching the relationships between the original ones change. I love that we, as readers, don‘t quite know what‘s going on in the games this time, and we find everything out at the end with Katniss. And of course, are left with a cataclysmic cliffhanger. This was my favorite movie, too!

Episode 236 of my podcast brings you CATCHING FIRE in a way you‘ve never considered, thanks to Heather McGhee, the bestselling author of THE SUM OF US and an expert in public policy and economic inequality. We talk about Panem and the Games through her professional lens… and we cover matters of influencer culture and love triangles while we‘re at it! 🔥🔥🔥 Link to listen in my bio.

Found the first half of the book kind of boring, but once they got back to the Capitol was when the book got interesting. I really liked the unique design of the new arena and the world building. At first I didn‘t care for the new characters, they were all weird and annoying, but somehow the author got me to care about them, I even cared when some of them died.

This is my favorite book of the three. I love the way you start to see Katniss‘s true feelings for Peeta even though she continues to deny them. I also loved the overall idea of the set up of the arena and how they worked together to figure it out and outsmart the game makers.

AK29 I completely agree! Gale starts to have more of a brother type place in her heart. 2y

300 Books read! I spent most of my life shrugging away books, just never had an interest. Basically spent all my free time gaming and, well, not reading. I can say I did start feeling the pull towards books for a few years before 2015, like Anakin Skywalker trying to resist the dark side. And like Anakin, I succumbed to the pull on 10/15/15…walking through a store.. I grabbed a book on a whim…and that was it. 7 years, 300 books, ~42/year.

Catching Fire was an excellent follow-up to
The Hunger Games. The romance, the plot twists, and all the newly introduced characters added up to make an exceptionally intense and keep-you-up-all-night novel. I really don't think I could have asked for a better sequel.

The story continues in a way that was unexpected. I didn‘t know anything going into these books. I am enjoying them and the story of Katniss. Weird turn in this one that pushes the third. This was a good book to read on vacation in Florida this week.

This was a very compelling read, just like the first book, but it was also somewhat disappointing. Lots of deux ex machina and repeated elements from the previous installment. I'm curious to see where the third book takes me.
Also, Team Peeta all the way!

This book is by far one of the best books I have ever read. It is the perfect sequel to the hunger games and I love how the author manages all her sentences. It has just the right amount of description, perfect and fitting dialogue, and overall a fantastic book. Dystopian fiction is amazing. I would recommend this to loads of people.

Overall Rating 5⭐ | Narration 😍=Amazing
(Re-read on Audio)
This still holds up as one of my all-time favorite dystopian series. It is the series that started my love for this sub-genre of science fiction. The narration was once again top-notch and I highly recommend the special editions of these books with Tatiana Maslany‘s narrating. I‘m looking forward to listening to the final book in the series, soon.

This is not a quote but why do people think that forcing someone to marry somebody is going to stop war! Like umm if that is the case 2 years olds would be married. You never know what they people would do! Anyway the point of this is that if you are ever running a country DONT FORCE PEOPLE TO GET MARRIED please. Ok thanks for your time! Bye and have a good day. :D
