Reading these makes me so upset that the show was cancelled after only one season! This world is so unique and detailed and fascinating. Lockwood, Lucy, and George are such a funny little trio; I can‘t wait to see what else they get up to in future books. 👻 ⚔️ 💀

As I posted about The Creeping Shadow, I realized I didn't post the other books 🙃😅

Loved Book no.2 of the series - Character arcs have deppened since book one as Lucy is definitely part of Lockwood and Co. now and fully integrated. Loved the further interactions between Lucy and George as they settle since their dynamic within the team as the investigate their current job.

This book took me a while to get through, and I read multiple other books at the same time, which I finished before finishing this one. I don‘t know if it has to do with the actual writing or the fact that, having watched the Netflix series, I felt like I knew what was going to happen, but I couldn‘t get into it. I still like the characters and think the premise of the series is great. Overall, a good book and I will be reading the next books!

I'm really enjoying this series. I spent the day reading this book, I found I was absorbed in the story. The ending felt like a cliffhanger, now I can't wait to start the next one!

I didn‘t like this one quite as much as the first, but it was still a fun adventure with adorable characters and some genuinely scary moments for a middle grade book! I wish I‘d read these as a young teen because I would have ADORED them. A solid start to June‘s #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks

Book 2 of Lockwood & Co. introduces a new mystery and the skull in a jar. Lucy‘s abilities are manifesting in a way not seen in quite awhile and what it gives her... is conversation with the sarcastic Skull. I‘m pretty sure if she could have chosen any spirit to converse with, the Skull wouldn‘t have made even her top 100 🤣 but it‘s what she‘s got. And sometimes it‘s helpful... sometimes.

Lreads I loved the skull! 😂 4y
IhoardBOOKS @QuietlyLaura The skull was the best. I love obnoxious characters and the skull fits that 😂 4y

This book got me out of my reading slump! I loved every second of it, the atmosphere building is on point, I was really creeped out by some scenes and had to turn on the light at night when going to the toilet - was just too damn scared. The best thing about the whole series is the characters though. Their conversations and bickering in the worst moments is just priceless. And the Skull, the most ironic and funniest of them all.

Rereading some of my favorite books seems to be the best for me right now. It is also enjoyable to read them right in a row. Usually I read the series with large amounts of time between each book.

I always enjoy an adventure with Lockwood and Co. A mysterious body is found in an Orion coffin. Who is it? What is it holding that terrifies George?

I really like this series. I believe it may be a middle grade book. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

thevictoriousone I ended up never finishing I think the one after this. I don‘t know...the tone changed just a bit and I suddenly had less time to read because I swapped jobs. I‘ve considered going back to them. 5y

This was the second in the Lockwood & Co series. Our trio of teens face an abundance of foes both physical and ghostly as they try to obtain a mysterious mirror that is rumored to be a portal into the hereafter. I really enjoyed this story but the narrator was difficult to follow as all her voices sounded similar.

Not quite as amazing as the first one, but still a good book. I didn't have the time for long reading hours, so maybe it's just been me and not the book. Definitely will read the next one, but not right now.

Sarah83 I think, if someone knows Jasper Fforde or Ben Aaronovitch all the other stuff isn't that great. 😍 6y
julesG @Sarah83 Lockwood and Co is for teenagers. My son liked it a lot. I thought the first book was the best. The series was the reason I got him hooked on the Bartimaeus trilogy, because it's the same author. 6y
PickwickPlockPlock @julesG @Sarah83 Stroud doesn't write funny or strange stories, but he is a very good writer. The first book had me glued to the pages. I read the first Bartimaeus book loooong ago, but I didn't like it much. 6y

I don‘t have a picture for this one, but I really enjoyed it. I actually pulled over on the side of the road to check out the audio of book 3 after I finished this one on my way home from school. My biggest complaints are that the final scene felt weirdly like it lacked tension and that the cliffhanger ending is not satisfactorily continued at the start of book 3. It starts with something else entirely, which was super frustrating.

I‘ve been listening to Lockwood and Co, watching Critical Role, and teaching myself how to knit hats. I think it‘s going well!! I‘m working on my second hat while I‘m waiting for my double pointed needles to come in so I can finish this one. I have so many books to read right now that I‘m not sure which one I want to go with next.

Fantastic follow up to the first book. The characters have so much depth and the descriptions are also good, you can clearly imagine the scenes described. The plot is solid and the pacing is a bit slow but still a good pace. I love learning about the cases as Lucy does.

I loved the first book in this series and the second one was just as good. Lockwood, Lucy and George are great characters and I love the sarcastic banter between them. This series is spooky, fun, and sometimes gory. Each book deals with a new case, however there are continuing story lines so read them in order. I read/listened to this one and either medium is great. Read in March. #LRC8 #morethan400pages

Already on the second one! This YA series reminds me of Harry Potter, if it was in the horror rather than the fantasy genre. Supernatural investigations by a trio of young agents in a fascinating world where since the Problem started ghosts have been haunting and killing,
