I sped through this fourth installment and it did NOT disappoint!! I feel like everything is starting to come together for the next and final book. I'm glad things are being resolved in reasonable ways. I love how everything is so intertwined that you can go way back to the beginning and find clues.

My least favorite this far ONLY because I thought Lucy could do better than being jealous the whole time. I did enjoy her realistic portrayal of jealousy and conflicting feelings. As always, Stroud is a master of words. His descriptions are vivid and realistic. I loved the plot of this book even though it felt more chaotic than normal. Overall, stunning.

Fantastic follow up to the first book. The characters have so much depth and the descriptions are also good, you can clearly imagine the scenes described. The plot is solid and the pacing is a bit slow but still a good pace. I love learning about the cases as Lucy does.

This book is a fantastic read. It's scary only because the writing is so wonderfully descriptive. The characters are flawed, realistic, and so lovable. Seriously one of the best series I've read in a long while.
