I will read anything by the writing team Ilona Andrews! And this series did not disappoint. Spicy heroine. Moody hero with a dark past. Magic. One of my favorite #UrbanFantasy writers kills it again. Great start to the series.

Two powerful magic weilder people find love in this paranormal romance. First book in the Hidden Legacy series. #SeriesLove2024
Re-release of one of my fave series. love the new coverrrrr no more cheesy shirtless “who are these people” cover 😍
Finished my first book for #backlistreadathon - I‘m really liking Ilona Andrew‘s books. This is the first book in the hidden legacy series. I really liked the 2 main characters and there are 2 more books with them, so I can‘t wait to read them. Nevada is a private investigator and she gets a job she literally cannot say no to. She teams up with Rohan to help save the city.
I‘m hopping on the #backlistreadathon for February!
I think I‘m going to try and get through some of Ilona Andrew‘s backlist with this series. Maybe another Kate Daniel‘s book.
But we‘ll see if I‘m actually in the mood next week to read these. 🙃🙃
A little cheesy at times, but I really enjoyed it!
#LittensWanttoKnow
1. Tagged, I recommend the Hidden Legacy series all the time.
2. Devil in Winter by Lisa Kleypas - my favorite historical romance of all time
3. The House in the Cerulean Sea - I recommend any time friends need a warm hug of a book.
I love a good paranormal book and this one hit the mark on so many levels. The world building is awesome and the magic system is innovative and complex. But it is the characters that make this story great. Loved both Nevada and Mad Rogan. There is a lot of tension both in the story and between Nebada and Rogan. Already started the next book in the series. 4.5 ⭐️
Happy Friday!
Fun characters, interesting magical rules. Will continue the series. couple plot points that were inconsequential.
PI Nevada teams up with the powerful Billionaire Mad Rogan (after he kidnaps her) to stop a Prime magic user Adam Pierce from causing more damage and return him to his family. No 🌶 just a lot of tension with this Alphahole.
Anyway, if there‘s a sexy dark haired guy I usually picture Henry Cavill. Who‘s your go to?
A bookstagrammer I follow said this book was her 🌶 gateway drug, so I had to see about it 😅I‘m about a third of the way into this and this is good! Why have I been sleeping on Ilona Andrews? I used to be an Urban Fantasy junkie and this came out in 2014 which was about the time. The world building is good, the characters are great.

📚Sometimes I enjoy it, sometimes not. It‘s all about quality of writing with those stories.

📚Ilona Andrews is probably the authors I recommend the most. Tagged is my very favorite series of theirs.
Nevada Baylor runs her family's PI business, and gets called in to capture Adam Pierce and turn him in - alive - to his family. The only problem is Adam is a Prime fire magic user, and he doesn't want to be caught. Nevada realizes she's expected to fail, and then Connor "Mad" Rogan becomes a reluctant ally. He wants to rescue his nephew, Gavin, who got mixed up with Pierce. Good world building, but lots of set up to the series with no resolution.
Not a fan of the cover but I‘ve been sucked into this! Started this book this morning and I am halfway through already.
Good thing it‘s a holiday weekend. #MyWeekendIsBooked
Andrews pulls you right into a version of Earth that discovered how to access and develop magic through a serum and then through lineage.
But now a Prime magic user wants to burn down Houston. No one knows how to stop him, but Nevada has to in order to keep her families investigation business. She gets the help of Mad Rogan- another Prime magic user. One she doesn‘t trust at all, but the two need to come to agreement to save the city.

I knew for sure I wanted to feature an Ilona Andrew's series. But do I pick Kate Daniels or Hidden Legacy or both? I decided I've enjoyed the Hidden Legacy series just slightly more than Kate Daniels. This married author duo can write! Great world building and amazing characters.
This was so much fun! Got me out of my reading funk
I like the main character Nevada a lot. She's competent at her job and knows her limits. Rogan is just the typical sexy guy with lots of issues. In this case disregard for people less magically powerful than him. I wonder how this series will continue
I put "The Power" by Naomi Alderman on hold for now. I really like it but it's just a heavy read and I needed something lighter. Enter tagged book. I really enjoy this so much! Thanks for sending this @LittleBug ?
1. The covers of Ilona Andrews books are terrible but they're such fun guilty pleasure reads. Last October, I read all of the Kate Daniels books so I thought I would give the Hidden Legacy series a try. Interesting to see how they treat magic. And I wasn't sure if I would like Nevada and her family at first but they're fun. Reading the next book now, too.
Had a very strong urge to re-read this trilogy so I did. I think I enjoyed them even more this time.
I wanted to make sure I remembered all the world building details before reading the ARC of the next book.

The start to Ilona Andrews' Hidden Legacy urban fantasy series is on sale right now. I love this series so much! Highly recommend.
Maybe urban fantasy is the fantasy for me! I took today off work because I still wasn‘t feeling good and I made it my mission (between naps) to finish this. I‘ll definitely continue on with the series.
I pretty much slept the day away. I think I have a sinus infection and woke up this morning with a migraine. Might be up all night, reading. If my head will let me. (I‘m a big baby when I don‘t feel good. But I‘m really liking this book!)
After reading Diamond Fire, I decided to reread the original trilogy. Just as good the second time around!
I am not a huge fan of Urban Romance, but this one was good. I liked Nevada and Mad Rogan, and really loved the magical world building of this series. I might continue with the series. Can't wait to discuss this at book club tomorrow!
This was my first book by this author. It was a book club pick. It was a paranormal romance but it had a real plot and I will definitely continue with the series. The grandmother was my favorite character. The author did get one fact wrong though, glocks don't have safties. I wish I did not know this. I'm like that annoying guy that compains about the number of bullets in the gun in movies. But it bugged me!
What a mixed bag. I really liked Nevada. She is a strong female lead with Andres trademark sass and spirit. Our main bad guy seemed a little flat and I didn‘t like how the love interest, Mad Rogan, kept crossing Nevada‘s boundaries. He didn‘t appeal to me as much as some male leads do. Overall I‘m interested enough to keep reading but I hope there are some improvements.

3. Tagged!
4. those little half-socks for ballet flats
5. Seafood, especially mussels
I love Ilona Andrews‘s Kate Daniels series, so I picked this one up (despite the cheesy “romance” style cover) and devoured it. Fan-frickin‘-tastic! I love kick-ass heroines and Nevada did not disappoint. Now I‘m off to find book 2!
Squee!!! The Hidden Legacy series will be continued! This currently untitled novella is coming out in the fall!💕
Just re-read this whole series - fantastic world building, interesting plot and many 3 dimensional characters. You do have to ignore the covers though - the Avon team have a lot to answer for.
I started with Kate Daniels, and didn't know if I could love Hidden Legacy as much. Well...I can! I'm glad I waited until the trilogy was complete to start, because I blazed through these in just a couple weeks. So will you, and you'll join the rest of us begging for more.
Congrats, @DGRachel , and thanks for hosting this #giveaway to #ShareTheLitsyLove.
I love Nevada Baylor, the protaganist of this urban fantasy romantic trilogy by one of my favorite authors, Ilona Andrews. Nevada's loyal, intelligent, and honorable, not to mention magically powerful. Her family is quirky and loveable and stands behind her 100%.
I even got my mom hooked on Ilona Andrews by introducing her to this trilogy 😜
Start listening to this one tonight. It should be good since I've enjoyed Ilona Andrews work in the past!
Perfect weekend read: lots of action, fun banter, and a world filled with magic. So fun!
But this cover: I can‘t decide if it is awful or perfect?!
#romantsy
Everyone in my house is asleep, so 🤷🏻♀️
I love starting a new series, and the world building in this one was fantastic.
I am going with these books for #bestseriesof2017 because I could not put them down and wasn‘t able to wait for my library hold to come in for book three. I went out and and bought the first two books in the series and am already looking forward to a reread. #jingleshelves
@Chachic saved Halloween for me with this amazing book gift!!! Read my review here: http://bentchcreates.tumblr.com/post/167262345001/burn-for-me-by-ilona-andrews-a... #fantasy #romantsy
My #HalloweenRead is this Ilona Andrews gem and I am 100% in love with the authors! This book is just everything I love in books: action, adventure, romance, magic, diversity! Ugh!
Thank you so much @Chachic !!! Best book gift everr! 😘
#romantsy
Im at Chapter 4 in this gift by @Chachic and it's glorious!!! I can't wait to read more about this awesome, magic infused world (also can't wait for the romance parts!) This is so different from the books I've been reading lately, bit it's a good thing. Thanks, bes! 😘
to make the reading pleasure all the more worthwile, i've decided to re-read the 1st and 2nd books of this series LOL! #bookandcake #bookanddessert
Only Sing, Unburied, Sing remains unread.
#threewordtitles #riotgrams
i finally followed through @Chachic 's recommendation to read this one...and it didn't disappoint!
it has magic, action, romance, mystery, and a feisty, uber-capable heroine that you just can't help rooting for. almost all throughout the book, my mind was screaming "i wanna be like Nevada Baylor!" the dialogues were some of the best i've read too, like they're-so-real-you-won't-even-realize-you're-reading-fantasy level.
I had recently finished the Kate Daniels series and wanted to check out other books by the Ilona Andrews team. I had a hard time getting into the book at first so I put it down for a few weeks. When I picked it back up I became engrossed in this new world. Don't pick up this book unless you want to be blown away and unavailable for anything except binge reading.
