Just re-read this whole series - fantastic world building, interesting plot and many 3 dimensional characters. You do have to ignore the covers though - the Avon team have a lot to answer for.

This was quite a good romantic suspense by Linda Howard. It was definitely suspenseful as I was eager to get back to reading it each time I left it. I do have a couple of nitpicks though; the woman left behind part of the title and in the blurb only took up one chapter; the prologue/conspiracy storyline seemed rushed and finished abruptly.
Started it and finished it today - awesome ending of an amazing series. I was in turn laughing, gasping, stressed, smiling and just enjoying experiencing such a unique book. Loved it!
Eyebrows slightly raised at my mother-in-law's reading choices. I think cover sensibilities might have changed since this was published.
Slow to start but then I could not put it down! A really good YA science fiction novel.
So disappointing. I love Nora Roberts but this did not work for me. It felt like she was attempting to cash in on the dystopian trend with a magically induced plague and a plethora of characters. Was a hard slog to the end with a weird (and abrupt) relationship that seemed like an afterthought.
