Working on my review!
An awesome addition to supernatural/paranormal lore! Check out my full review at https://thebookwench.com/2016/05/30/review-cold-in-california-by-deborah-riley-m...
I know I already reviewed (and loved this book) but I wanted to share my co-bloggers review: https://thebookwench.com/2016/01/11/review-a-court-of-thorns-and-roses-by-sarah-...
The PageMaiden (co-blogger) thought this was a great coming-of-age story. See full review: https://thebookwench.com/2016/02/23/review-the-changing-season-by-steven-manches...

My co-blogger The Page Maiden (who will also use this account) really, really enjoyed this book. It played on a lot of emotion and was a great read. See her full review: https://thebookwench.com/2016/01/12/review-sarahs-key-by-tatiana-de-rosnay/
The series gets a lot of flack but I think it's pretty great for what it is. Paolini was young when he wrote it, but hey, he was passionate about something and stuck with it! I am excited for book five to come out in the coming years.

It may sound silly, but I honestly loved this more than the first two, and I absolutely loved them! The series just gets better and better with each book. I am on the edge of my seat until book four gets here!
A fantastic follow-up to the first Cormoran Strike novel. The stakes are higher, mystery is deeper, and Cormoran and Robin are even better than before! Maybe I am biased (I definitely am) but I don't think I could ever disliked anything Rowling writes, even if she puts it under a pseudonym.
I really enjoyed this book. I think J. K. (Ahem, Mr Galbraith) does a fantastic job of characterization and really making you understand the character in ways some authors can't. The mystery was great and hard to guess, and I love not being able to guess the mystery. Cormoran's a great character!
When my mother passed away, I read this passage at her funeral because it spoke to me and the relationship we shared. I will always love my mother and I will always love this book. The quote starts with "I come from a place..." and ends with "Yes, my mother was like me."
A good, strong novel. One I find to extremely important in the study of womanhood and relationships between women. When my mother passed away, I quoted this novel because it spoke to me on such a profound level. I read this for school and will read it many more times.
I read this for a paper in college and I really enjoyed it, even though it was not a happy book. It is definitely eye-opening and thought-provoking. While I am not a mother (to humans) I could still identify with a lot of the emotion. Very good!
I'll admit I watched the show first for at least year and a half before I picked up the books. When I read the first one, I loved it!! Martin does such an amazing job of creating such a vast and nuanced world. I read the book almost a year and a half ago and I still think about it quite often!
Okay, so this will probably be an unpopular review, but I didn't care too much for this book. I liked the idea of it, but I could not relate to the main character at all - even though I really should. I spent most of my time rolling my eyes at her and wishing she's stop being so whiney and selfish.
Definitely interesting and gripping. I was given a few shocks at each turn, even when I thought I had things figured out! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a total mind-bender!!
The book was good because it put an interesting spin on the 1001 Nights. Like others have said on here, I was not swayed by the instantaneous transition from hate to love. It didn't feel authentic and plausible. The story, however, was enough to carry it along and I am still glad I read it.
A dear friend introduced this book to me in high school and I loved it! It is remarkably simple and complex at the same time and gives an interesting perspective on a major shift in American culture and civil rights. My only lament is that it didn't last for another 300 pages! A definite favorite!
I love The Hobbit! I remember reading it the first time and just falling for this amazing world Tolkien had created. I have read it numerous times since then and when I have children, I will read it many more. Courage comes in all shapes and sizes! Plus, who doesn't love a good hoarding villian?
One of my absolute favorite books! My mom introduced this book to me as a teenager because she wanted me to understand the value of life, every life. A story of tolerance, innocence, justice, and kindness.
Great book and one of my favorite "classics." I think I love most the fact that you can analyze the book a hundred different ways and still get a different conclusion each time!
This was my first book where Fae were a major component to the story and I LOVED it! So much so, I was dying to read the second one!! Feyre is an awesome character, definitely a favorite!! I think it'stime for a reread, now that I read the second one! See my co-blogger's review at thebookwench.com
This was one of my absolute favorite books/series growing up. Such that, when the author passed away, I was truly heartbroken. If you love adventure, history, and sassy heroines you are in for a treat. https://thebookwench.com/2015/11/18/featured-favorites-the-bloody-jack-series-by...

Such a thoughtful and momentous book!! It really gets you thinking not only about "life after death" but each and every person that you have encountered in life. Such an astonishing concept. A must read!
The author made all of the female characters the epitome of stereotypes and it was very hard to feel anything about the book except readiness to finish. I did sympathize with the main character toward the very end, thus the so-so rating. Great concept, but I didn't care for the execution.
What can I say? The Harry Potter series is my soulmate in book for. I will reread these books until the day I day I wish I could mark this as "love" instead of like! It's a story of friendship, perseverance, strength, courage, family, and, of course, love. What more could you want?

An amazing book! Funny and thought-provoking. I could hardly put it down except to go to work and school and even then I would just talk about it! Love it! I refer it to ANYONE who asks for recommendations!
