I've been saving this but now I can't resist any longer :-)
I've been saving this but now I can't resist any longer :-)
I said at the start of my holiday that I would get round to reading Sarah Dessen - now, with some 40 hours to go, I'm finally there!
Time for Roy Grace #3! I have one week left of my holidays and haven't read anywhere near as much as I'd planned - so it's all about getting cracking ;-) I love the cover art for this one and so far am very keen on the story too. Peter James is become a fast favourite!
This was irresistible in so many ways! Haven't read it yet - been preoccupied with HP8 and Emma Cline. But soon!
I completely understand why this is so hyped. It's wonderful. Just wonderful. I'm divvying up my reading sessions because I really don't want it to end.
I love the Roy Grace series so far - very clever and with a very likeable main character. Something so unusual as a middle-aged (well, he's 39 now) male policeman who isn't misogynistic and homophobic but actively the opposite. Nice work from Peter James!
Mycket bra dystopi för ungdom i alla åldrar, även 30+ ;) Lågmäld, spännande, filosofisk.
Yet again, reading a book in the right milieu - Cornwall is beautiful.
Finished this tonight, with this wondrous view in front of me. Good book - really very good.
Stopped here with Lisa Jewell this afternoon. Well. She wasn't there but she could have been ;)
I haven't read anything by Jennifer Weiner for years but am glad I'm back on track. She's lovely.
I watched my first episode of Vera last night and felt I had to try one of the novels straight away - sometimes I need a face to the character and I loved Brenda Blethyn's portrayal. Very much enjoying the book too!
Started listening to this today and am absolutely captivated. Wow.
Read this little gem this week and loved it. Not sure how I've never heard of Peter James and his Roy Grace before but I'll be spending much more time with them in times ahead. Very good.
I'm mesmerised by this. So full of angst, anxiety and discomfort but so good. So real, in fact.
Remarkably mad and utterly delicious.
I'm reading my first Ruth Galloway and am completely hooked! Awesome characters and a creepy story which is just the right amount of terrifying without - so far - being too bloody and brutal.
A fantastic read - very thought-provoking and insightful but also tender, warm and funny. Loved it!
This is marvellously entertaining - but how am I going to manage to avoid spoilers throughout, if I stick with the series? Oh well - I've probably already heard them and forgot...
This is thoroughly enjoyable! Very much recommend it.
The rain finally came! I'm making the best of it by cooking and finally listening to Pride and prejudice. It's only about 20 years overdue...
I knew I would be keen on this - it is Levithan, after all - but I didn't realise just how much I would fall in love with this small town. Lovely stuff.
Sooo excited about this! The weekend cannot come soon enough! 📚✨❤️
Here's a tip - don't start reading this late at night when you have to get up early the next morning and it's dark and rainy out - and you're home alone. I'm not easily spooked but this is truly creepy. And awesome.
Tonight I'm making something very spicy and (hopefully) lovely while listening to Eva Franchell's book - very suited for cooking-listening. So glad it's weekend!
Looking forward to this - both the book and the amazing ginger mocktail! 📚🍹
I loved this. I have an ambivalent relationship with Kinsella but decided to listen to the audiobook and I'm so glad I did. Lovely, warm and funny despite the serious subject matter.
This lovely little novel is my companion this Saturday evening :-)
I love my job but I really can't wait to get home today and dig into this gem again! 📚❤️
Listening to this little gem for a digital book circle - I'm privileged to be able to listen at work, but can't help but wishing I was out for a long walk instead... 📚💙
