I wanted his book to continue long after I had turned the last page. 👍

Contrary to what most of the reviews on GoodReads said, I loved this book. It was an enjoyable mode of escapism for me to see behind the glittery veil of the social elite in the 50's and 60's.

When I'm in the middle of a "first world" pity party this book always helps me get back to reality. I revisited this text yesterday and it always gives me something new to take away.

I flew through this novel! Diane is a complex character who deals with love and loss without trying to play the part of a martyr. It was refreshing to read something that didn't leave all of the loose ends tied up perfectly at the end. I cannot wait for the sequel in 2017!

This book caught my eye while I was helping my son select books at our local library. Such a charming book that deals with some very difficult real-world problems. By the end of the book I was sad to be leaving this setting and family. ❤️📬📚
