Found another great place to read lately. I‘ve been so busy with grading I‘m trying to gain any place I can. E is too busy to really need me anyways. 🤷♀️🥰#NancyDrewBR @Librarybelle
I‘ve been as lazy as 3 kids would allow me to be. 50 pages left of the current story. (Book 2 in the collection)
2✨ I DNF‘d this because I felt really lost. I was hoping for understanding in the topic, and man there was an information! It goes through several peoples real life events in interviews. I listened to this so it got very confusing very quickly. I can‘t say there was a timeline since there was a lot of different situations. I want to say it was mostly linear. I‘m going to research this a bit more and maybe try this again as a physical read.
I‘m interested to see if Fourth Wing can be beat. 😍💛
3✨ Friends come together for their friend when her husband passes away. They uncover a lot of buried truths as they clean out his work area. Some of these secrets are why many of them do not come back to their hometown(s) that are a collection of island/ coastal areas gathered together. ⬇️
3✨ I liked how this was put together. There are 8 bear types discussed that happen to be in different regions and continents around the world. The book separated them in sections so they can be discussed one at a time. The author goes to these areas to talk to community members on the experience. There is bear attacks, rehabilitation, animal behavior discoveries, and general knowledge of the bears. It is very informative and enjoyable to read. ⬇️
Oh man what a place to have to stop when lunch is over. My students tell me I can keep reading. So sweet… but I know they just want an excuse to not work today. Teenagers. 😅🤣 #NancyDrewBR @Librarybelle
Did we finally meet Ned?! #NancyDrewBR @Librarybelle 🤩🤩🤩
4✨I think this was my favorite one so far! Not a lot of danger, but at least it was tame and believable for curious teens. I was reading this during lunch breaks, and I think I‘m going to keep that up. Read for #NancyDrewBR @Librarybelle
Up way too late, but I got my #BookspinBingo ready for May @TheAromaofBooks I‘m going to focus on my series that I have wayyyy to much of @TheSpineView @Andrew65
Four days left of April! 😱 I would like to finish my #NancyDrewBR #NaturalLitsy #FoodandLit catch up with #ReadingWesteros #GOTChapteraDay and finish The Lighthouse for #ReadmyKindle whew… I better get started. @Andrew65 @Librarybelle @AllDebooks @5feet.of.fury @CBee
4✨Another book that has been on my list forever. Cassie is our main POV, a teen in high school, before the 1st Wave in an alien attack on the planet. Her family manage to escape several of the waves until they get split up. It turns into who can you trust. There is a little romance, family ties, and working on taking their planet back. It was really good, there was real danger for the characters. It was a bit predictable. Plus lots of characters.
5✨We start off knowing our main character had a one night stand and ended up pregnant. As her baby grows, she does too. Discovering what she wants in life, what really matters, and what goals she wants in the future she needs to work for. Excellent character development, funny, heartfelt, and completely entertaining. #LittensLoveRomance @StayCurious
4✨ This book was a true work of art. Starting off with the pure symphony of descriptive writing. The twists and turns were amazing, and completely unexpected. This is one I‘ll need to read again because there is so much depth I‘m pretty sure I missed something. While I don‘t like the relationship or the fact that I know the narrators thoughts, but not her name was an interesting element. Definitely would recommend.
On Netflix there are now games. Here is a reading one we found. You have to use words to figure out the puzzle as you walk on the words. You see the character being taken out by a bear trap. You need to jump over it so you activate jump. Pretty cute!
Book haul. Finally got some of my taxes money in so I treated myself. 🥰💛
Chaperoning prom tonight. Feeling cute with my 8-bit bow. Might tell kids they are dancing too close. 🤣💛
3✨ I‘ve had this ebook for a long time. We have our characters in a very long war. Myranda was orphaned because of this war and has no interest in fighting. She moves from place to place until she meets a mysterious stranger that is actually kind. She then find herself learning very quickly from elemental masters. Plus she finds a is loved by a pet dragon. There is a lot of backstory in this book, so hoping the next book will be even more epic!
4✨ I did not really want to put this down. It was interesting from the start. Even though I had predictions it didn‘t completely pan out how I thought it would. I wouldn‘t say it was a happy ending because from the beginning we know her sister is not going to come back. While I enjoyed the story. I struggled with the timeline. Lena told one story, the police officer gave another perspective, and when we went into the past #FableBR
Guys! I have a student, who graduated a while ago, that I‘m still in touch with tell me her cousin was going to swing by with a gift for me. She thought of me when she was traveling and told me I was one of her most influential teachers. She knows I love to read so she got me this beautiful book mark. 🥹💛
Here is my four suggestions for #CampLitsy24 I‘m hoping the tagged isn‘t too morbid since this is a camping scene. I have just been wanting to read more about Inchworm after I read an article about her being found. Plus, I just noticed we should select 2024 books? It would be disqualified. 😅
I found a free library near my house. Sadly sun damaged for the majority of them, but Arizona problems. The picture on the app is not what I expected. Mostly romance for me and quite a few kids books. At least my kiddos found something. 🤷♀️
4✨ What a cute story. A story Tolkien wrote for his son who lost his little toy dog. The story follows Rover on an adventure when he is lost by his little boy. It‘s so cute and something similar happened to me as a kid. #FellowshipofTolkien @Daisey @JazzFeathers
1✨ I read about 45% of this and it was just too much. It is written well, but there is so much going on I can‘t wrap my head around it right now. I‘ll try this again sometime, but the names of elves, locations, and changes in storyline are too much for me to get into right now. Sorry guys I tried. #FellowshipofTolkien @JazzFeathers @Daisey
Finally, I‘m getting around to this one. 😅 #FellowshipofTolkien @Daisey @JazzFeathers
1✨ I couldn‘t continue with this one. We have teens that only talk about drugs, drinking and sex. There is more depth to these characters, but it was rarely seen. I was holding out for the love story, but then it ended up to just be cheating. I know YA is turning into more adult than young, but this is a little much. I went 73% before bailing. Originally read for #FoodandLit South Korea 🇰🇷
5✨ The plot was well thought out and there was a real element of danger. We do lose people both good and bad. The dragon element was perfect, and I love the young dragon. We don‘t really know who to trust, and that ending was a huge shock! The hype was true for me. There was a warning for sexual content in the audio, which I appreciated, but really besides three scenes it was not too overwhelming for someone who doesn‘t want to read it.
2✨ This was definitely not my favorite. It was very repetitive and dull. The only blood pumping moment was the last maybe 3 chapters. This plot was believable, but pretty extreme for the situation. Plus recovery was really very fast. #SeriesLove
5✨This volume ripped my heart out, stomped on it, and threw it in a blender. Just when there is a little hope it rips it away. It pulled on all my heart strings in all the best ways, and that ending has me wanting to continue reading. So thankful for all the insight of #ReadingWesteros and can‘t wait to see your thoughts in the last couple of chapters. 🤩
He‘s comfy so we are just going to finish the last seven chapters. 🤪 #CatsofLitsy #ReadingWesteros #GameofThronesBR 😸
3✨This was really well written, and thought out. I received this book in a book box as a surprise, so not one I would have picked for myself. Giving it a chance I like that it had to do with women‘s rights and not all guys were the bad guys… well not all the time. It has a heavy focus on woman, abortion, and men who possess or use women. It is set in an alternate reality where time travel is possible and these jumps are to learn or to improve.
5✨ Yes, I waited a really long time to start this. It was really worth the wait! I loved the relationship these two had. Simon had a lot of baggage and Daphne is innocent, but can really hold her own. As they learn more about each other their love for each other grows. I also love the extra epilogue in this TV tie in and will need to get the rest this way too. 🥰💛 #SeriesLove
4✨ This book was about those that either had someone pass on who came back to comfort them, or those who passed the veil for a brief time. Those that came back provide encouragement that there is something else after this life. As a person of faith this brings me comfort that this life isn‘t the end. That those we love and miss who have left us are still out there waiting for our time. I wish this was actually written in the POV of the witnesses.
Part of me feels bad for this month‘s bracket, but I just could not get into this one for March.
March I‘m going to put Gone too Far, but all my March reads did not compare to the tagged. 🥰💛
March was not a 5 star reads type of month, but still a great reading month. 🥰💛
I was so busy yesterday I didn‘t get to wish everyone a Happy Easter, and if you don‘t celebrate I hope it was a lovely Sunday. We had fun making Dinosaur eggs and going to church for Baby E‘s blessing/Dedication. 💛🥰
3✨ Since I didn‘t really like the second book, I wasn‘t sure I was going to continue the series. This story though was really interesting. Serafina finds herself in a difficult situation and the only one that can help is her enemy! It made for an interesting storyline. Book 3 in #SeriesLove
3✨ This was chosen by one of my book club members, so not something I would have picked up. While I like fairy stories, mystical bargaining is not my cup of tea. I do like how it was written, while I mixed up the two sisters as the POVs a few times I enjoyed the characters (except one- if you read it you know). It was on the predictable side so I had a sense of dread the majority of the story. I feel it stood out at the end, I‘m glad I continued.
3✨ First I liked that this was set in Arizona. There was danger like the others especially the rock slide. Yikes! We finally have Bess and George which I was excited the most about. The mystery itself didn‘t grab much of my attention, but still a fun read. #NancyDrewBR
3✨This had a Godfather feel to it. Cosi stumbles acrossed another murder. This time it‘s Santa Claus! We learn a lot about his character, and uncover more as the story plays out. I‘m still not a fan of her relationship, but he gets more back story in this one. Joy makes only a brief appearance, and newlywed ex is already past the honeymoon stage. Pretty good mystery. Book 8 in the #SeriesLove
Spring break and Spring cleaning are going well. These puppies are growing too fast. 😭 I will definitely be cuddling up to them each night.
I‘m finally out of all my time consuming extracurriculars! Luckily, I‘ve still been able to read a lot. For this #marvellousmarch readathon I would like to finish my #NancyDrewBR (a few more chapters) my #HTBC the tagged. I would also like to read my #FoodandLit for March. Plus 4 books I had in February. Since I will be on Spring break on Friday. I‘m really optimistic. 🥰💛
