I highly recommend listening to this one on audio. 💯
Not quite what I expected, but quite good nonetheless.
Found this gem at Barnes and Noble next to Elephant and Piggie. 😳 #bookstorefinds
Shout out to Telgemeier in Maihack's Cleopatra in Space.
When you think you're only going to read the first chapter before bed, and instead read the whole book cover-to-cover until the wee hours of the morning.
Loved the illustrations. Story went in a different direction than I thought. Still not sure if I liked it.
The Bad Guys are going good! Too bad everyone is scared of them! The cat's eyes though! 🙀
After finishing Magnus Chase, I fished through my #TBR stack from the library and settled upon the new Neil Gaiman since there are a lot of people on hold for it. But man, after this I need a break from Nose Mythology!
Gotta love the chapter titles! That song gets stuck in my head every time I look at this book now 😂I started my Riordan reading with Magnus Chase because I wanted to see how he approached gender fluidity in this book. So not disappointed! Alex is my favorite!
I kinda like the fact that time is kept differently on other planets. #smalldetails
That ending though! So very meta. A fun read with lots of predicable YA tropes, but it still manages to have very profound moments. 🤓
I'm all set for my library's Comix Club this Thursday after reading my way through all of Dav Pilkey's comics!
Sad to admit, but this was the first Riordan book I've read. 😅Now I'll have to read ALL the books!!!
It took me awhile to get through this book, but I think that was because I was zonked this past week 🤒🤧. Excellent story and world building. Definitely deserves the recognition. #newbery #harrypottershelf #hpreadalike
In a Q&A, Savit says that what he want readers to get from "Anna and the Swallow Man" is "Questions. And the urge to find and ask more of them." Well, I certainly have questions! Like yelling "what?" after reading the end of the book-- which also ends on a question. Nonetheless, I really enjoyed listening to this book and Allan Corduner did a wonderful job narrating Savit's carefully crafted novel. #odysseywinner
Some of the Youth Media Award Winners. #Caldecott and #Newbery Honor books.
Super creeps, but beautifully illustrated. These five short stories will leave you wanting more! #gladitsdaylight #butimhomealone #whatsthatnoise #horrorwimp #highlyrecommend
"Sir Hogswell did not believe in races. Sir Hogswell did not believe in speed. Sir Hogswell believed in dinner, dessert, and a good night's sleep." #SirHogswellismysoulmate.
Science, Romance, and Interludes from the Universe. Wonderfully written-- now to read "Everything Everything". #YMAwinner
Meh. I like Alice in Wonderland, but I was not in love with this book. The protagonist, Cath, made me want to slap her upside the head more than once.
I'm not really one to read Marvel comics, but loved this Ms. Marvel reboot. Kamala Kahn is an ordinary teen juggling school, friends, and her living up to her strict parents expectations. Kamala would give anything to be "normal", blond and popular. But when she gains the power to shape shift into whoever she wants- she finds that being a blond leggy superhero in thigh high boots is not being true to herself. #ComixClubPick? #ya #tween
Why didn't I read this series sooner?! Wonderful series-fantasy, mystery, romance, and Welsh mythology- what more could you need in a book?

I feel you Gansey! I don't want it to be over either! 😭 #firstlitsypost
