Need to get some puffy sleeves before Christmas Eve dinner tomorrow! 😄 Happy holidays, y‘all!
Reminds me of the Younger episode about the book P is for Pigeon. I‘m surprised there isn‘t an T is for Turkey book coming to bookstores soon 😋
Had a lovely afternoon outside reading and enjoying my last official day of summer vacation 😎
Have been wanting to read all three of these for a hot minute and got them all for $3.00 at the library's used book shop!
Reading/listening to my first John Grisham book ever! The fact it's about an F. Scott Fitzgerald manuscript heist totally sold me.
Loving that my Jane Austen pillow is sewn back together and in commission again - let the reading commence!
I think Eva would approve of this hot sauce selection (it's most of the sauces from the Hot Ones YouTube show) especially Blair's Mega Death!
So, I am a Crazy Not-Rich Half-Asian ☺️ I got the book for $1.50 at a used book sale and the audiobook is from the library so very little was spent on obtaining this super fun book - check out other ways to find cheap books in my most recent blog post: bit.ly/2tgx3Dr !
Found these super fun library card catalog notecards while cleaning. It may be selfish but I don't want to mail them... I think I'll use them as bookmarks instead 😋
I am enjoying the crap out of this book!!! And love that that we get to see the primary source material for "The SantaLand Diaries" !
Going with the hybrid reading experience for this one. I've only listened to the Introduction and have already laughed at least 10 times!
Wooooo! My books are here!!! This time I got Goodbye, Vitamin and Hunger. It's going to a great month of reading 😀
Really heavy but enjoying it so far. Though things might feel rather messy in our country at the moment, I'm still grateful for the America I live in now.
Pretty nice YA selection at Sam's Club! I've been interested in Alex & Eliza... thoughts???
There are 83 people on the hold list for Killers of the Flower Moon at my public library, so I treated myself to a copy using gift cards from my students on the first afternoon of summer break!!! 😀😀😀 😀😀
I promised my sixth grade book club I'd make Twinkie Pie for them, and I always keep my promises when they have to do with desserts! 😋
My Book of the Month box is here! I'm just now reading The Mothers which was my October BOTM so who knows when I'll read these two, but who cares??? New books are always welcome! 😀
Day two of my literary margarita challenge in preparation for Cinco de Mayo. Say hello to the Margarita Atwood 😋
Trying the "Are You There God? It's Me Margarita" recipe as part of a literary cocktail themed Cinco de Mayo blog post... I'm not a huge tequila fan, but this recipe ain't half bad!
Reading the short stories mentioned in S-Town including this one by the amazing Shirley Jackson. I found links for free versions all the stories talked about on the podcast, so if want more John B in your life, check them out on my blog: bit.ly/2pmX6Xc
Omg I have been reading through for two weeks and now I'm six books behind on my Goodreads challenge!!! I appreciate Ms. Gabaldon's work very much, but sheesh, these books be loooong!
Love Beauty & the Beast retellings! Read about my faves: http://highshelfesteem.com/2017/03/21/the-best-beauty-and-the-beast-retellings/
Embarking on a hybrid reading experience. If I read AND listen to Dragonfly in Amber maybe I'll actually finish it before the month is out. The audio is a whopping 38+ hours long! Wish me luck!
