#BFC21 #weeklycheckin

📚I finished 1/2 nonfiction, and 2/5 books of this month.

🏃🏻‍♀️Achieved my walking goal 🤗 but there was slight increase in sugar intake.

🧘‍♀️ made my journal entry but struggling with meditation goals.

Hoping for a better week.

#happyJune! This made me #smile this week! My daughter wanted to read these books and I discovered several of them FREE with Amazon Prime. Score! But what made me smile was the fact that she spent nearly all day Sunday reading and finished the first one in 2 days. ❤️ 📚#weeklycheckin @AkashaVampie

Well, I‘ve had my best reading week this year! I‘ve finished a book every day! 🥳📚🥳

I‘m still dealing with my physical difficulties and not ready to talk yet, but I did meet with my therapist and that helped. Despite that, I had a pretty good week with my goals.

Overall, 👍🏻👍🏻!

Emilymdxn So proud of you! That book goal is going incredibly, and the fact you‘ve kept your head above water during such a hard week is honestly inspiring. We‘re all with you whatever changes physically/health-wise in the coming weeks 💖💖 Team Go Team leaves no man behind 5y

Took some time out from my #24b4monday to do Yoga. 5 days of walking/yoga done 2 days of weights done and I have met my 6 book goal. #BFCr2 #weeklycheckin
My mom said to me yesterday, "you may no be seeing numbers change, but I see a change in your physical shape."

wanderinglynn Yay! Way to go! 🙌🏻 The numbers on the scale only tell a small portion of the story. Remember, muscle weighs more than fat, so often the scale won‘t move, but you will still lose inches. So great job! 🎉 5y

KathyWheeler You are doing such a good job! You know, sugar is weird for me. I find that if I never have the cookie, I‘m fine and don‘t want any; however, if I eat the cookie, I‘m probably going to eat 3, maybe even 6, more.😞 5y

Megabooks @KathyWheeler Thank you!! I‘m pretty good with cookies, which is mostly what I have. I can keep it to two gf Oreos, but ice cream is the devil. I can never keep it to a half cup!! 🤤🤤 I had a Cook Out shake and a bowl of ice cream this week. Plus I‘ve had two 12 oz soft drinks 4/7 days because I‘ve been so drowsy from medicine. 👎🏻👎🏻 5y

sudi You're doing great, ice cream always ruins my sugar free plans 😅. What i've done is come up with a reward system. I treat myself to something indulgent at the end of the week (usually various types of ice cream). This week it was waffles with cream cheese and blueberries 😋. I've also stopped grocery shopping for ice cream, if it's there in the fridge, i'm always tempted. 5y
Megabooks @sudi Thanks!! 😊😊 Those waffles sounds great. Unfortunately, I live with my dad, and he‘s an ice cream addict who is not overweight, so in the freezer it stays! He has it every night and is 5‘10” and weighs 160 lbs. But other than the bowl of ice cream before bed, he never snacks. 5y
sudi @Megabooks your father sounds great. I did the same thing , though i gave it up in the last two years. But i still don't think i would be able to control myself if i always had ice cream in the freezer. Hope you do better than me 😄👍 5y
TheEllieMo Sugar is not an enemy per se; no food is bad in moderate quantities. My problem is that all my favourite foods contain lots of sugar and once I start eating something, I pretty much finish the packet🙄 5y

Megabooks @TheEllieMo Yes! My problem is too much sugar. If I just had two cookies (small) and one soft drink, I‘d be happy with that, but there‘s hidden sugar in EVERYTHING in America. So I should better say that added sugar is the devil! 5y

I suddenly couldn‘t tag George, but I think he‘s back with no posts now. I keep hoping he‘ll reach out, but I was away from Litsy for awhile at my most depressed, so I get it. 5y

Week 2 was great! Finished two books (I've been misquoting my book goal, it's 8 not 6), met my step and bike goal, and while I did have a delicious small piece of strawberry cream bundt cake at book club on Monday, the rest of my weekdays were sugar free!

Meditated twice, but easing up on this as a daily goal for now.

Books: 5/8
✅Bike 3 times
✅70,000 steps
⚔ ✅No Sugar Mon - Fri - only one cheat, so still success!

alisiakae @julesG It helps that I did this before, so I've already learned where sugar hides (most, but not all, breads; soy sauce, soups, dressings, etc), and I give myself a break on the weekend. My weak spot is dessert! I eat a lot of avocado, eggs, yogurt, lox and things like that in the morning to get away from the sweet breakfast foods. Natural sugars like fruit and those found in dairy don't count. 6y

I can do better, and I will do better! I‘m happy that I met my reading goals 🎉📚🎧, but I need to work harder on cutting down on sugar overall and praying more.

I‘m excited to start physical therapy next week and add some physical fitness goals!
