I throughly enjoyed reading this collection of Dickinson poems. I liked how she made ordinary things sound extraordinary. Highly recommend even if you are not a lover of poetry.

I got this from my book club‘s mystery Christmas book exchange. It was an OK read but I felt the writing had a tendency to be too repetitive, and some of the events felt too obviously like plot devices. Maybe I‘m just too cynical for ghost stories!

Law officer Hamish Macbeth makes Christmas magical for a Scottish town, many of whose residents despise the “heathen” holiday. Looking for a missing cat and missing Christmas lights, reminding students not to do drugs, and dating the new school teacher, Hamish manages to do all these things, ties them together in a big bow—along with a most hateful family—and brings so much joy to town. I loved this story—a new holiday must-read. ⬇️

This is book four in the series and my favorite so far. I laughed so hard. The text dialog between the guys was the best. Clueless doesn't even begin to describe it. It also was the most emotional of the books so far. The ending just crushed me. So Good! All the feels and then some. 5 ⭐

Given my often silly personality I should have loved this book. But it wasn‘t for me. The silliness got in the way of the plot, or at least what I could understand of it. It‘s Hogswatch night and Hogfather has disappeared. Has Mr Teatime killed him? Meanwhile, Death dresses up as Hogfather & goes on the rounds to keep the belief alive. Susan, their kind-of human descendant, seeks to make things right with the help of some absent-minded wizards ⬇️
