I really need to buy fewer. I bought 111 in 2018. I read 52. Not the best ratio. #IN2019 @RealLifeReading

Some more reading odds and ends to accomplish #in2019 ... and more that may or may not happen as the year progresses. 😀

-Buying books: I have fallen more deeply in love with my local indie bookstore, so they will be my first place to shop, followed by the new local B&N.
-Challenges: I plan to participate in #ReadHarder and #Booked2019 but don‘t know if I‘ll complete them.
-Audiobooks: need to revive that option.

Due to my extreme rural location any chance for some of these is impossible.

I'm not a big reading goal or challenge person. It seems like reading is the one part of my life that's just for me to do as I wish. So basically: read what I want, whenever I want. A little more than last year. A little more of the NF; a little more poetry (#poetrymatters is reminding me how much I enjoyed it). Peace to all in the New Year. ☮😊📚💕

Reggie Totally understand. The minute I think goal or challenge my mind says everything but and leaps those fences to other books. 6y

corycatelyn @TiredLibrarian I know you haven't been here for awhile but you won my #bucketlistgiveaway a few months ago. You can email me if you still want your prize 🙂 6y
TiredLibrarian @corycatelyn I did?? Well, how cool is that? Thanks for letting me know (again) and for letting me collect it a bit late! I'll be sending you an email. 😊💜🆒️💕🤩 6y

A couple of months ago, I told myself I was going to skip challenges this year. 😂 Now I have decided to do six. I‘m going with one book can fit a category on multiple challenges so I think I will be okay.

The ones that I am bound and determined to do are:
Buy fewer books
Read more of my own books
Meet a litten(s)
Write more reviews

I want to do ALL of the things on the list but the above are the ones like I wrote I‘m bound and determined to do.

Not keen on attending a festival - too many people.

Although it would be great to get a book signed, the content of the book is still the same. 😉 Also, getting a book signed, would mean attending some sort of event, which I'm not keen on. 😁

Eggs Festivals--I agree 6y
wonga for a signed book, some bookstores have author events where you can order a signed (and sometimes personalized) copy to be mailed to you. or, write a note to a favorite author and ask if they‘ll sign your book or a bookplate :) 6y
julesG @wonga Good idea! Thanks. 6y
RealLifeReading I love that you wrote “read more with my kids” 6y
julesG @RealLifeReading They are 13 and 8 y/o but still like reading together. It's a wonderful family activity, much better than watching TV all the time. 6y
