I liked this one. Set in the 1970s, three Irish mob wives take over their husbands‘ jobs after they are locked up. As with most mob stories, there is quite a bit of violence. I‘m not 100% sure how I feel about the ending. I have the movie on hold at my library. #graphicnovel2019

I had such a blast reading this! The numbers are a little dated on it because it's from 2015 but like the book said, since the system hasn't really changed since the mid-1900s, the information is still really good. This book is part autobiography about the author's time as a garbage man and part educating the public on the importance of waste services. I really appreciated the art style and the sense of humor throughout this entire thing.

This wasn‘t all that exciting of a volume compared to the last couple of ones I‘ve really been enjoying. I do like getting a bit more of a background on Kurose and his dissent into the underworld though. Hopefully the next volume picks up more.

The Water Dragon God is learning about feelings! I can‘t 🙈 I had a fun time reading this volume. The politics that I‘ve been enjoying recently has continued and now there‘s concerns over neighboring clans going after Asahi. Excited to see what‘s next!

This was a fun volume but what I think I've come to realize is that I preffer the anime over the manga format. I also keep reading it with the character voices in my head. I did enjoy the fact that this volume went more into detail with the lives of the twins and some more of Hunny. Sadly, I don't think I'm going to be continuing with this series.

Ok, the series has finally hooked me. I loved how powerful Asahi was even without a voice and I appreciated the serious topics it started to address like war and how man will always fight over power. The dynamics between Asahi and the water dragon are starting to fascinate me while at the same time, the role that Subaru places makings things interest. I want to know what happens next!

Defense Against the Dark Arts OWL: 3.75⭐️

I really like this a lot and I‘m going to try the next volume but the sexualization of Ran by Otaro is uncomfortable. I‘m hoping that things clear up. Other than that I really loved the volume and our curious, magical Ran. The abilities of the rest of the family were a surprise but I‘m all here for it!
