pickI bought this at the amazing #dauntbooks in London and only just got around to it...erm two years later. 😬 I was on the most epic slump of all time. Making up for lost time though! This book was exactly as silly as it should have been, with charmingly accurate characterization and wonderfully well done voices. A bit of fun always hits the spot!
pickRead some Jeeves books, but I am by no means a buff. As far as I can tell, Faulks has done a good job of recreating the writing style, although it amused me that the great war crept in considering what he is famous for. A bit too much cricket for me, but then any cricket is too much cricket for me!
#Aprella #day8 #Homage Catching up again on this months challenge, I suck at deadlines! Ok, I think the “cozy Crime” series of today are an homage to the golden age of crime writing. Authors like Joseph Jefferson Farjeon, Dame Ngaio Marsh, Dorothy L Sayers, Josephine Tey & of course, the one & only Dame Agatha Christie were inspiration to the pictured authors. I‘ve been a lifelong Dame Agatha fan & love the series above as much #christiecrimeclub

When I hear #Supermodel I immediately think of the Jill Sobule song in Clueless rather than the SZA one. Clueless of course is an excellent #Homage to Jane Austen's Emma & although there wasn't a character based on her in Clueless, Emma's neighbor, Miss Bates, NEVER gets #TiredOfTalking.
