Giving Thanks was published in 1995 and is a good book choice to read around Thanksgiving as it is a message of peace and thankfulness for all the blessings of the earth. Emphasizing the importance of what our world has to offer and how we should be thankful for what we have been given. I would recommend this story to all age groups, I believe it is one of the better options to read to children.

Saying Thanks and Beyond: Is Saying Thank You Enough? | Ralph Mosgrove

Today we delivered over 200 bouquets of flowers to doctors, nurses and essential workers. The flowers were purchased from a flower farmer whose business has had to shutter during Covid19. It was a win win and a nice way to say thanks to all these heroes who work day & night to keep us all safe. Proud to be part of a wonderful community of caring individuals. #StayPositive #PayItForward #GivingThanks

CoffeeAndABook Wow this is wonderful!!! As an ex-nurse (13 yrs in the ER & infectious disease ward) my heart is full of love and admiration for those hospital workers on the front lines right now. I love that you found a way to show your appreciation in such a tangible way. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I often feel the nightly clapping at the window is ridiculous in the face of what they‘re accomplishing every day. CoffeeAndABook 🌺 yes! It‘s insane how many businesses are hit by this. I hear a lot of (flower) farmers have to destroy their produce bc they can‘t set up new contracts quickly enough, when they had restaurant contracts for example. What a horrible shame all around. I‘m doing fine all in all, up & down emotionally but healthy, which I count as a blessing. I tried responding to your comment a few days ago but it might not have come through.Hope you‘re well also? 5y

I can totally relate to your worries about family in the US and worries about economic fallout etc. It‘s so scary but cannot be dealt with right now, that will be our job in six months or a year. For now our job is to stay at home and wash our hands, as unsatisfactory as it is 😤 So glad we have our love of books to fall back on 💓 5y

Beautiful and poignant book about gratitude that is perfect for Thanksgiving. I am trying to counterbalance the falsehoods about the holiday with books that are truthful and give native voices a chance to be heard. This is a wonderfully illustrated, child-friendly adaptation of the Mohawk Thanksgiving address. Some spiritual elements, but the thankfulness is mostly focused on the things around us every day.

My mother is having her 2nd surgery in 7 days because they did not get clear margins the 1st time, a possibility we were prepared for.

Plus, 1 lymph node tested +. 😥

A houseful of guests, including in-laws, trying to remain positive in a tough situation.

Kaye Will be thinking of you and your family. This time of year is sometimes difficult to pretend everything is ok when it‘s not. I understand , but in a different way. Best advice, one day at a time. Don‘t look too far down the road. It gets a bit overwhelming. 7y
