I am so doing this. I have over 500 books I haven‘t read. I stopped counting at 500. 🤣 But I‘m only going to count the books from my shelves. Library book pages won‘t count. Now I just have to find a big enough jar, I have some real chunkster on my shelves. Thank you @dariazeoli for posting this. #PennyPerPage #BookBuyingBudget

bnp Interesting idea. How do you keep track of page count? (Library Thing is where I track books read & TBR. 4y

Rehesina @bnp I‘ve just started using bookly, so I feel like that might be a good way. Or if I feel like doing it manually I can just keep track of the numbers on a notepad. 4y

dariazeoli @bnp I use an app called Leio and it‘s been great for tracking reading time! 4y

Starting to think about going on a book buying budget for 2021 - mainly because I own close to 700 books I‘ve yet to read. I‘ve heard about setting a penny per page read book fund, though I can‘t find a blog post or YouTube video on the topic - anyone tried this? How‘d it go?

MegaWhoppingCosmicBookwyrm I was also just recently inspired by another Littens similar post. They had found on Instagram I think where someone put away $5 for every book they read. At the end of the year, they used the money to buy themselves something bookish. I like your idea though of a penny per page, which gives more incentive to bigger books. 🤔 I might have to try that this year instead! 4y

TheLibrarian I looked at how many books I bought the previous year and set a realistic goal of how many books I could buy a month. Then at the end of the month, I‘d purchase the books I most wanted through an indie bookstore. It worked out well until my husband told me he didn‘t care how many books I bought, just the money and then I went a bit crazy... 4y
