I have had a splendid Saturday so far. Came to St Andrews with my friends for an overnight at the Rossmount. Climbed up Chamcook Mt. Even made it over the border to Maine to mail all my US /overseas bound holiday cards. Now a wee rest before dinner.

Unfortunately my Saturday vibe is work for next week when I have manager training classes & a business review but I took myself to the coffeeshop for food & caffeination.
I also finished this lovely book of poetry from Barbara Kingsolver. I like how personal she gets & of course she excels at the nature poems. This was the last prompt I needed for my #OUABC 40 book challenge & also my ⬇️

My first time cooking a meal after my latest surgery. I've really missed cooking, being in the kitchen, dicing the vegetables, smelling a hot boiling pot, adding the spices, choosing ingredients and combinations... I love it! The result wasn't as tasty as I was hoping but it wasn't bad either. Just the first of many from now on. It's a delight to be able to feed my loved ones again!

I plan to head out to the barn around 10ish this morning. It will be a chilly ride today as the cold weather has finally arrived. Later this afternoon, I will decorate the Christmas tree. If time allows, I need to start on my Christmas cards.

Pulled my Christmas tree out and have set it up. No lights or ornaments yet. Not planning on cards this year unless the postal strike wraps up soon enough. No swaps either. Am getting organized for my reading challenges, including the one I run. Also putting finishing touches on my sister's birthday present.

Matt and I just got back from the #21 ASU Sun Devils vs. the #14 BYU Cougars football game. Whew! And the Devils won ... with a legendary ending! 🤩 It's been a long time since we've been to a college football game, and it was such fun to be near the student section! Not much going on at my house today except maybe a nap. This cold is kicking my behind. I didn't even go ride this morning. 😒
I did have enough energy to make some dough for bread. It is currently rising. I am going to make Dutch oven bread. A first for me. I usually just use my bread machine. 🍞 ❤️
