I totally mistook this with the description of Boyfriend Material (aka no issue about being queer in the public eye) so then I was super surprised that a large part of the plot is grappling with that. But that just made the book feel really real.

Alex + Henry are #relationshipgoals. Almost nauseatingly so, but hey, that‘s romance novels!

Also LOVED all the friends + sisters.

I decided a J. D. Robb break would help my dragon fatigue with The Priory of the Orange Tree. I love Eve Dallas and this series.

I wouldn't have thought I'd love this as much as I do, but (especially in her early 30s) Michelle hits SO close to home! I really got a credible insight into her values and priorities and I was especially impressed by the two of them complementing each others character traits into a truly modern & feminist marriage #relationshipgoals 😍 Towards the end I'd have liked to have a clearer outlook on future plans, but that might just be another book 😉

Not that there was ever a doubt in my mind that my husband and I were meant to be but how kismet is it that we got each other the same book for our first Jolabokaflod. The best part is he kept saying how good the book he got for me was and my book for him probably wouldn‘t be as good. We both had a good laugh, took turns reading and now they are on the shelf together. ❤️🎄❤️
