Readergrrl I‘m so excited! I just finished Slewfoot and I really loved it! It reminds me a lot of the film, The Witch, with Anya Taylor-Joy. I enjoy making those bookmarks too! I started making bookmarks last year. It‘s so much fun thinking of scary books, finding terrifying quotes from them, then thinking about how to best symbolize the book itself. I don‘t often get a chance to be creative in real life, but this swap allows me to play!! 12mo

Blerdgal_Fenix @LibrarianRyan I saw one episode and was in love. It will play on AMC for free but you have to pay if you miss it. So I am going to do like I did with P-Valley, wait till the season ends pay the couple dollars to stream the whole season at once. Best $5 I spent on STARZ for 2 seasons of PVAlley. 2y

Avanders @LibrarianRyan cool! As indicated, I‘m not … as much of a maker as I‘d like to be (you know, time *and* talent permitting), but if using craft kits is acceptable, then I‘m in! I‘ll fill out the form now — But if you think craft kits wouldn‘t be appreciated (and note — I‘m happy to *send* real craft supplies, not just a kit, but I‘ll only be able to *use* a kit), then you can not match me. I‘ll completely understand!! 2y

I thought I would change up the #nightmareswap this year and make it an #AlteredNightmareSwap. This is a one book swap. You only have to send 1 book. But you do have to alter it. (more on that later) I have chosen to do this so that more people can participate. One book can usually be sent for under $5 in the US using Media Mail.

Sign up ends Sept 5, and opening is Halloween. ALL Ages Welcome.

LibrarianRyan There are many ways to alter a book. Some examples: Sprayed edges, or stenciled edges. Make a new book jacket. Paint the cover. Foil the cover. Doodle in the margins. Etc. You just have to alter it someway. 3y

Sweetkokoro I love that it‘s one book and that‘s it as I haven‘t been able to join any swaps because it‘s hasn‘t been feasible for me with the pandemic, but the altered bit worries me. Will there be a way to state what kind of alter we don‘t want? Like I absolutely loath writing/doodle in a book. 3y

Dario goes back to Moldavia Studios to assist to a "mysterious ceremony", a tribute to his father. That day things got complicated. Between filming horror movies, Dario will learn about his past, parents & will discover himself. Book has dark, morbid humor but also sad ones. It didn't work for me because I was expecting something else but it is cute with a meaningful ending. Maybe I need to re-read it later. #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
