Cooper and his daughter Finch live an isolated life in an Appalachian cabin. We slowly discover the reasons behind Cooper's determination to stay in hiding. His secrets- and Finch's curiosity- begin to threaten their safety. When Finch is 8, 2 new people enter their orbit and the dominoes begin to fall. The outside world can no longer be kept away.

This was beautiful and I loved it.

I just couldn't finish this book, it just drove me crazy. It was whiney and predictable.

The Night Olivia Fell | Christina McDonald

Mehso-so

3 Stars • The Night Olivia Fell centers around Olivia, who is found at the bottom of a ravine, critically injured with no memory of how she got there. Her mother, Abi, is desperate to learn the truth behind the accident that leaves Olivia on life support until her baby can be born. Abi had no idea that Olivia was even pregnant and wholeheartedly believes that this was not an accident ... will she be able to uncover suspected foul play?

Stopped at 30%.
Interested in Emma's back story, but realized 200 pages of being chased by serial killer - I know there are more twists to come (scanned ahead), but I am not engaged enough to find out the details.

⭐️ ⭐️ Although I couldn‘t warm to any of the characters definitely a Great building of tension, unexpected outcomes and I had to keep reading.
Sadly I felt the ending was far too rushed when you got the crux of everything.

I‘m tutoring incarcerated college-age young people and want to give them books. County officer says: “it has to be a paperback and appropriate (ie, no overly sexual content, no gruesome killings, etc)” — one of the girls has read all of #friedamcfadden books, and wondering if anyone here can give me suggestions for more books to get her — she loves #mysteries Thanks!
