My last book for 2025

This deliberate slow pacing gives a more introspective exploration of immortality; eternal life and the loneliness that shadows these indulgences.

Dark and mysterious set in a lush Gothic atmosphere that transported me immediately to another time and place.
Rice vividly paints pictures that stay trapped in your mind.

I spectacularly failed my 2025 reading goals, AND I‘m going back to school in 2026, so obviously what I need is another challenge. Enter #LitsyAtoZ 🥳
Because caffeine is life, sleep is overrated, and failure is most definitely an option.

July 2025 Book #7

Second book in this series. I didn‘t like this one as much as the first one. This is more about Stocker and all his family drama. That part I liked, the mystery was okay. But the romance part was stretched out so much that it was almost boring. It still has those funny parts but we are not going to see the same character dynamic in Veronica as we saw in first book. Lest see what happens in book 3. 3/3.5⭐️

I get why everyone loves this book.

The fast‑paced, dark dystopian saga continues. Rebellion pits against oppression - the exact reason why I loved the original story.
The emotional intensity, bleak atmosphere, and high‑stakes drama kept me engaged and I finished this in two sittings.

In short:
Hamish's redemption and a true testament that Snow really doesn't have a heart.

I think I‘m going to add this to my challenge list this year. It has been awhile since I did this one. My physical TBR grew an enormous amount this year, thanks to the #CosmereBuddyRead. I‘m sure this will help me decide what to read.
