Settling in for some #hygge time. For some reason the only snack that sounded good to me tonight was raisins and water. One of those days when I‘m hungry but I‘m tired of food. Reading tonight is the tagged and a chapter of Extraordinary Insects. I might look through some cookbooks I got for #FoodAndLit too. Enjoy the hour everyone.

A minor ode to cake. For a book about happiness, it makes you happy to just sit and read (or even better, listen to). The author is a delight to listen to as he reads his own words, especially when he talks about cake. My only complaint is that it ended too soon. 🎂🍰🧁🥮🧡🧡

Just discovered the Bookstore Sisters. It may not be Sunday evening, but enjoying a #hygge experience on this rainy afternoon in southern CA. 💛 Oh, couldn‘t include the book in the photo because I‘m reading it on my@phone‘s Kindle app 😊

I was needing a quiet, comforting activity today after the chaos of introducing my dog to his puppy cousin. Testing out my first recipe from this book was my hygge afternoon. Now, the seemingly endless wait for the brownies to cool. #hygge #snowydays

#Hygge hour set up. Hot chocolate, a slice of stollen, and some light reading. It‘s a busy week ahead and I need the kind of strength only a slice of cake can give.

My #HyggeHour is hanging out with Nancy for a bit along with some chocolate I picked up in Maui. This one is chocolate, mac nuts, marshmallows & Rice Krispies.😋🍫

I really wish I had tomorrow off but it‘s back to work & another busy week. Health wise, I am feeling better, stronger each day. Mental health wise, I feel like I am going through the motions just to get by. 😵‍💫
