This one never clicked for me. The main character reminded me of someone out of a Philip Roth novel.

Is this supposed to be a dark comedy? I found it amusing and enjoyable.

We‘ve made it through May! While some people enjoyed McEwan‘s books, he was less well received than our previous authors.

Tomorrow we start Octavia Butler! I hope everyone will love her books!

This was not exactly what I was expecting when I picked this one, but it was intriguing. The narrator is the unborn child of Trudy and John, and he is very intuitive about what is happening in his home. His parents are separated, mostly because Trudy is sleeping with Claude now, and the two are planning to kill John. The narration is poetic, which is fitting because John is a poet, and he used to read to Trudy and the baby often.
