BeansPage We are reading for 24 hours in a 48-hour span. What you do is every time you pick up a book to read use your stopwatch on your phone two-time how long you're reading. Post updates everyday that the read-a-thon is going on. Does that make sense? 6y

BeansPage There are a lot of apps in the Play Store that help you make graphs and I'm sure what they're doing is just using an app and taking a screenshot of it and posting it 6y

BeansPage @24in48 what are you talking about? I've seen several people use that for their own readathons that they're hosting. None of them ever got bitched out for it. The fact is is I've changed that hashtag and the graphic as you requested. You have been nasty about this entire thing and frankly I'm done with it. 6y

BeansPage @24in48 once again I was never told that. I was simply told that somebody else was hosting a read-a-thon the next weekend. I am not using your brand or your hashtag. You obviously do not understand hashtags. I am not taking this one down as I have done what you "asked" me to do. 6y

As she had started other people have used this before too and if you were concerned about your "trademark" or "brand" you should have done a better job of protecting it. Now, your just coming off as rude. 6y

Only because I‘m curious, I did a little recon and yes a hashtag can be trademarked but even when it is, not much can be done to stop it from being used. So while I agree you using the same one for a different weekend can confuse others, I don‘t think it‘s enough to get all shitty over. Kindly explain their position would have been much better. 6y

SleepyDragon I find this whole thing upsetting. I thought Litsy was supposed to be above such pettiness. It's seems childish to get nasty and propriety over a stupid hashtag. This person (an admin or what?) Is causing me to rethink my recent increase in involvement here, as well as my recent decision to make my profile public. 6y

SleepyDragon I flagged the comments as harassmentn including a very rude post he/she made threatening anyone who uses his/her hashtag. Not sure what good it could do, but harassment is never okay. They could have simply flagged your post as trademark infringement and let the admins deal with it. 6y

CindyMyLifeIsLit So how does this work exactly? Do you have from the 12th to the 15th to get your 24 hours in, or do you pick 2 days from those and do 24 hours over those days? 6y

CindyMyLifeIsLit I‘ve been on Litsy for a year now and consider myself to be fairly active. This is the first time I‘ve ever seen such incivility here. Even if you were in the wrong for using that hashtag, they handled it terribly. I will never participate in one of their stupid readathons, and I‘ve unfollowed the people who posted negative remarks. If I want to read rude, trolling remarks, there‘s plenty to be had on Goodreads! They don‘t belong here!! 6y

BeansPage @CindyMyLifeIsLit no nothing like that we simply keep track of all the time we read during the allotted time frame of 48 hours. We post updates each day and try to make our time as close to 24 hours as possible LOL Also yes I agree with you and thank you very much for your support. I had a very bad day yesterday because of all of that. 6y

Jess_Read_This I unfollowed her during the last readathon after she published the sign up information publicly on the website. This just floors me that she behaved so poorly over a hashtag that has been used by others. Sorry this happened to you. 6y
