Nothing wrong with these lessons, but for me they felt kind of intuitive. There was something old fashioned and even comforting about the advice that I did enjoy. It reminded me of the classes my father took for his company in the 80‘s. Dad is highly effective, so maybe it worked. 🤷🏻♀️

My dad wasn't much of a reader, but he was a fan of Stephen Covey's 7 Habits book, and I still think about both it and him when I'm working, even if it couldn't be further from my reading preferences. The odd thing is, I have all these bookish memories linked to him: 1) him wanting to buy me this expensive book when I was a kid but making sure I would read it (I never did), 2) me taking John Dean's memoir from his shelf 👇
I have read this Book and I must say this was amazing and this was the first book i picked to rad since i started the habit of book reading and this increased the interest inside me to read more books related to personality development and while reading it I sometimes felt like the author was only talking to me and he knew everything about me and my life and he was like talking to my soul, Amazing Book!!!
But until a person can say deeply and honestly, "I am what I am today because of the choices I made yesterday," that person cannot say, "I choose otherwise.
Here‘s my review for this book that I just finished reading.
Here‘s my reading progress for this book I‘m reading. I now have 1 hour left in the audiobook but I‘m going to stop listening for tonight. I listened to some of this book tonight while playing Cookie Jam Blast and Cafeland on my phone. This book was talking about synergy before and I don‘t know what that word means. I‘ve never heard that word. I don‘t understand everything this book is saying but I understand some of it.

Here‘s my reading progress for a book I‘m currently reading. I‘m almost finished with it. I‘ve been listening to this book late at night while doing laundry and playing Cookie Jam on my phone. I‘m finally finished doing laundry. I just put some towels in the dryer. The next part that I don‘t like doing is putting away the laundry. Maybe I‘ll put away the laundry later while finishing this audiobook.

For Wednesday‘s #bookquote, I‘m sharing a quote from this book that I‘m currently reading. I‘m borrowing the audiobook of this book from Libby and I‘m thinking about buying a physical copy so I can spend more time studying it. I don‘t currently own a physical copy. It‘s an interesting book. It‘s just a lot of information to process.
Here‘s my reading progress for a book I‘m currently reading.
This must be internalized !
Just as important as what you read is how you read it to young children.
“You cannot talk your way out of a situation you behaved yourself into”
I‘ve been listening to the tagged book, but I‘m switching over to the print version because of phrases above. Sometimes something just hits you at the right moment. The author talks about responsibility. He broke it down: response - ibility : or our ability to control our response. While I knew the meaning of the word, this really just put it all in perspective. We are always in control of our responses to everything.

"Look at the weaknesses of others with compassion, not accusation."
I tried again and again but could not get to the core of the book. I ended up bailing on this one as it never caught me. Won‘t retry.
I remember reading the 7 Habits for Highly Effective Teens before entering high school and it had a major impact on my work ethic and productivity. This book was no different! Tons of great quotes, helpful insights, and tips and tricks for increasing productivity and building relationships!
This book presents a step-by-step pathway for living with fairness, integrity, honesty, and human dignity. It is said that it takes only 21 days to form a new habit-practice makes perfect. Covey was one-of-a-kind

“Reactive people make love a feeling, proactive people make love a verb” ... definitely needed to hear this today!
Love this! I only ever thought of the concept of independence versus dependence. I never thought about “interdependence” and how important it is to achieve and maintain that middle ground
Really a life changing book. It really puts our habits and what is more important into perspective. Being positive and having a proper mindset is essential to be successful.
Help! There is a quote from a movie or a book but NOT this book that‘s similar to Covey‘s idea of “begin with the end in mind”. I also don‘ think it‘s the quote hat shows up you get when you Google something like “start as you mean to go”. Thoughts???
Amazon is trying their hand at a lending library for Prime members. I've wanted this for years!
Ever pick up and read any of those self help books, then find that they all just say essentially the same thing? Yeah me too. This book however is 180 degrees different, and actually something I notice all my rich friends doing (rich in health, wealth, love and happiness). Not to say they read this book, but the fact is, it is stuff they do. So when I read it I was like, oh my goodness!
A good primer to self improvement and a cohesive if yet barebones system of implementation. Highly recommend to be read along Drucker and Frankl.
A little into this book and so far it's not a pointless self help book that only relates to that author. This is a book to help you change your own personality to become better and more effective in your own eyes.
Now that‘s a tidy number! #bookschangelivesgiveaway
The tagged book, I read years ago and it had a huge impression on me...it gave me the energy and focus I needed to make some very big decisions. Books are just amazing!
Look at the word responsibility — “response-ability” — the ability to choose your response.

The book will tell you about , how to effectively influence people we meet.
Awesome book!
"Stephen R. Convey hottest self-improvement consultant to hit business since Dale Carnegie"
Have heard great things about this book for years. Was finally motivated to read it when some people expressed a lot of passion for it. I read about a chapter a week, giving myself time to process the information and apply it to my life. Highly recommend for personal growth. #LitsyAtoZ #MountTBR #Nonfiction2018
If only every paradigm shift was easy...
My guild on Habitica is doing The 7 Habits for our first book club. The moderator has been to many 7 Habits workshops, so they have lots of insight and deep questions to ask. My first group reading!!!

Highly recommend. We all have habits, more bad than good that is hard wired. We learn them from our parents, our up bringing and things we have done that we convinced ourselves that it was right. The harsh reality is... it's not and in fact it's unexceptable and unhealthy. This was my first ever read book. 2014 this book had helped me cross over from average to greater. My life was able to flourish and bloom into what it is today.
A must read, especially for managers.
