Hubby finished book, I'll read before taking back to the library. You can never go wrong with a Michael Connelly book, especially Ballard and Bosch...both Boschs in this book.

The great thing about a Connelly book is that a bad guy get caught in the end.Renée Ballard continues to grow as a character, and her unsolved crime team gets a boost when Maddie Bosch joins the team part time.Connelly always describes in detail, neighborhoods in the L.A. area that adds interest to the story. I loved getting distracted from current events spending the weekend enjoying this book. Bosch plays a lesser though significant role as well

“She liked waiting for the wave more than riding the wave.”
Yes , at least there is usually satisfaction in a Bosch Ballard book. The criminal gets caught. I need a satisfying ending this weekend.
Another excellent entry in the Renee Ballard series. When Ballard's car is broken into at the beach, she goes after the perpetrators, resulting in a situation more complicated than she could have imagined. Meanwhile, DNA evidence pops up that could break open a legendary cold case. Tension builds as Ballard navigates her management, the volunteers at the Open/Unsolved Unit and her off the books investigation. Harry Bosch would approve.
1. Last year I did not, but 2 years ago (on right) I did El Gallo from The Fantastiks which was a bit obscure (last minute!) This year I‘ll return to poodle skirt costume
2- Tagged is a bit creepy about the Black Dahlia murder 1947 Los Angeles and its copycats-a good mystery👏🏻👏🏻

The Waiting - Prequel to our Deep Dive Podcast…
This was a good read but nothing particularly new or groundbreaking for Michael Connelly. If you're a fan of the Bosch/Ballard universe, you'll appreciate the continuation of their stories...
