Did not like any of the main characters (and I don't think you're supposed to) and I was hoping for more out of this story.

I feel like I'm reading an updated version of Death Becomes Her. Take the potion and you'll be Pretty.
I read this in a single night and it was completely fun and distracting. Required some suspension of disbelief but that wasn't a chore. Weirdly enough, I found a sentence from my own book in it (total coincidence since mine isn't out til may!), which is the first time that's happened to me but probably not the last, and so I was delighted that women everywhere are into men who make "eye contact that is steady but not invasive."
Giving is another pass through... I bailed a while ago, but the fact that there is a bisexual woman as a protagonist and that the novel isn't about her bisexuality makes me want to give it another shot.
Felt like something light and quick to read, seen a few mixed reviews for this one, it's due back on Tuesday so it's now or never
Alright Littens, this book is ridiculous. I may have to bail. I'm sure the author meant well but guilty pleasure turned into a nightmare. I may keep reading just to see if it gets worse....
This book is WEIRD. Entertaining in a "reality TV" way. Guilty Pleasure Saturday Night. Good night!!!
Picked this up from the library!
I was so excited to read this book, but it's just not doing anything for me...
Maybe I'm suffering from book-grumps.
This was a tough one to start a book club off because while I didn't hate it or consider dnf'ing I didn't love it and the rest of the group could barely get through it. Don't get me wrong there were several parts that I liked, but it was extremely vulgar and I'm not a prude by any means. I feel like the point the author was trying to make was a very important issue but the crudeness overshadowed it.
Book club starts today. I'm in charge of food this week. I donut take this responsibility lightly. #killingit #bookclub #donuts
The Regulars is about a trio of friends who come across a serum that makes them truly exceptional beauties. This has all the makings to be vapid and eye-roll inducing, but this book is not what you (okay, I) thought. The characters have depth, and the story is thought-provoking. Halfway in, and I'm loving it!
A few weeks ago I had a coworker ask me how I'm able to read so many books. I don't feel like I read that many but I guess Litsy skews my perspective 😉 I said that my reading dramatically increases over the summer & would decrease when school started back. But the real answer is I find time where there isn't any: carpool line (pictured), waiting for a doctors appointment, getting my hair done. There's a reason I bring my book with me everywhere!
Excited to start this for book club 💋💋💋 #amreading #currentlyreading #theregulars #georgiaclark #bookclub
Cracking this one open on a perfect fall-like morning. Doing my porch reading before the temperature spikes!
Had no idea how it was gonna end... Also took me a while to read
I really enjoyed this book. Such a great look at what happens when you have everything you want.
My favorite spot for reading and relaxing has to be this lovely chair (an estate sale find that I convinced my parents to buy for me when I was a teenager, which has since moved with me from Philly to Brooklyn to Boston to Providence) in my living room. It swivels, it has a matching ottoman, and it's sandwiched between a big window, my record player, and the best air conditioner in the house. Perfection! 🙌📚🎶 #augustofpages #augustphotochallenge
Help Litsyers!!! My friends and I are starting a book club and need suggestions for a great book to start with. I have a few in mind but I'd love more suggestions. Thanks in advance!
Everything is peachy! #augustofpages #augustphotocallenge
I don't want to say this book was bad because i think the writing is pretty good and the author did a good job of adding meat to the characters, but I just don't want to continue. Tried it on a whim and I think it's just not the right time for me to read this. Might try it again sometime in the future.
