I wasn't sure how I felt about this book until I got to the end. It wasn't difficult to read, but it wasn't easy either. But it was a good story. And while the end kind of jumped suddenly, it also made complete sense. #27-2024

I am posting one book per day from my extensive to-be-read collection. No description and providing no reason for wanting to read it, I just do. Some will be old, some will be new. Don‘t judge me - I have a lot of books. Join the fun if you want.
This is day 109 #bookstoread #tbrpile #bookstagram
I saw this when it came out and decided to wait before picking up a copy. Several years later I picked up a copy...and it sat and sat and sat. Finally got to it and it‘s not for me. Into the donate pile it goes.
@scripturient this is what appears when i follow up the tracking number from dhl germany. It says “it will be transported” so not sure whether it has already left and whether it is here now. 😭😭😭 #ScreamsByMail
Day 2 of #7covers7days #covercrush Seven covers I love, no explanations.
Anyone who hasn‘t played and wants to, please play along.
Israel Armstrong, Jewish vegetarian librarian, accepts a job in a small Irish town, but he quickly realizes it's not what he expected. The library is closed, they expect him to run a mobile library, and all the books are missing. A fish out of water story with a clash of cultures and expectations, at times very funny and amusing.
I‘m trying to finish both The Guttenberg Bible and How to be Famous this weekend. I‘ve never done a readathon before and this was a last minute decision. If I come close to 12 hours I will be delighted. Let the reading (late start) commence! I‘ve attached a cute photo of me and my niece because I am in bed, it‘s dark and my book would be in shadows.

This is my #shelfiesatueday for #readingresolutions @Jess7 it‘s a day late..oops. It‘s needs a tidy. 😕
Then we have a pop-up library where we can drop books and pick up new ones. No new acquisition from me but I put down A Separate Peace by John Knowles, We are Completely Besides Ourselves by Karen Joy Fowler, Fates and Furies by Lauren Groff, Mood Indigo by Boris Vian and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland by Catherynne Valente. Could have sold these but couldn't be bothered to. The library doubles as a seating space.
For the first time in ages all the buses arrived on time, so I arrived at the vet's more than an hour early. She kept the critter and sent me off to go have a tea. I bought pastries instead because I completely forgot to pack a book! 😳🙄
Look, Littens! Returning from a weekend family visit to San Antonio, found this kiosk in the airport. Charging station + free e-books, from San Antonio Public Library. 👍🏻
Thank you @collegecatlady for your #letsgetcozy package! I‘ve been wanting to read more books about books. 😍 I already got to try out the Thai Lily candle this morning and it‘s lovely! And thanks @cobwebmoth for putting this together and introducing me to the cozy genre. 🍁
I love my job, but this week-long work Retreat is seriously cutting into my reading time 😩
Another great new #bookgogo in the shop, Overdue. It is a beautiful contrast lining and is nice and squishy. http://etsy.me/2u2CqYa
Uh, what? What a weird thing to think...🤔🤔 #currentlyreading
I really like that @ReadDogBooks chooses backlist title for our subscription boxes. I see so many of the new releases as part of my job, so I like getting books I may have missed. Thank you!

Finally caught up with photo challenge! I don't know about you but I know exactly where all my books are all the time and who has borrowed what.
I think this was trying to be a cozy mystery but it failed with unfriendly characters, cold damp weather and an unhappy protagonist. The story tried too hard to be funny with misunderstandings of the Irish dialect. Skip it.
Setting Ireland...hence Limerick Day. (I know it's a stretch. Haha. )

Was befuddled when, at a charity sale, I came across this book that seemingly had no title information. Turns out it's called The Mindfield Years, and I needn't have felt embarrassed, as @Litsy hasn't heard of it either (hence my delay).
This story took me far too long to read. And after slogging my way through it, it was to be let down by the ending! 😔

Israel Armstrong is a Jewish vegetarian Londoner who has been transplanted to the wilds of Northern Ireland to run a Mobile Library Van. And solve mysteries.
Hilarity ensues.
This is a quirky, funny, odd, delightful little series. Give it a go!
