Another book finished earlier in the week & my 3rd August #Roll100 book (#27). I‘m glad I finally read it since I got it in an #Aardvark box last October, drawn to the cover, family “cult” in the blurb & the author (although I buy her books without seeming to move them off my TBR). Dark, twisty & kind of fun if you like cults, mild horror & family drama. I won‘t go into the details as it‘s better to go in blind, but I liked it. 👍🏼
pickI wasn't sure how I felt about this book until I got to the end. It wasn't difficult to read, but it wasn't easy either. But it was a good story. And while the end kind of jumped suddenly, it also made complete sense. #27-2024
so-soI don‘t understand the hype around this book AT ALL. It had Beauty and the Beast vibes but with sub par writing. I like how witty Feyre is, although making her illiterate made no logical sense. Why try to dumb down your heroine?! The ending was predictable and the way Rhys looks at Feyre was a dead ringer for the ending in Iron Flame. Book #27 in 2024
