New episode just dropped! This is our first entry in a series we like to call, reading out of our comfort zone. Best-selling romance is not usually our kind of book, and in hindsight, we probably picked a dud of an example. But we had loads to discuss, including the 2008 movie adaptation starring Richard Gere and Dianne Lane. Which did we like better?

The bulk of this episode is the good old monthly book nomination and selection process. From there we come up with prop bets for our upcoming read, “Nights in Rodanthe.“ All around a great episode. Another Phenomenal read by Nicholas!!

Starting Book 5 of November and Book 175 of 2020!!

It was not my favorite from Sparks, but the last 4 chapters gave me the warm fuzzy feeling I enjoy from his books.

Reading “Nights in Rodanthe” by Nicholas Sparks. I‘ve not heard the best reviews of this book, but it‘s fairly short and I got it from my book haul. Might as well power through. Lol hopefully I‘ll be pleasantly surprised while reading 🤞🏻At least I get to be outside enjoying some sunshine while it lasts ☀️ maybe I‘ll go join my girls in the kiddie pool later if they don‘t kick me out 😂

I've never read a Nicholas Sparks book before, and I respected to to be more romantic and heart breaking. As I'm hanging out at the hair dresser getting beautified, I finished this little gem. I actually really liked this book and I normally don't love Nicholas Sparks' books. It was just a really sweet story with extremely likable characters. I even felt like the writing in this one was superior to other books I have read by him. As usual, it was sad, but this one really ended on a note of hope which I really liked.

I mean what's a girl to do at Rodanthe, but read 'Nights in Rodanthe'?! It's the usual Nicholas Sparks. Pretty predictable, but pretty easy and enjoyable beach read. #rodanthe #beachread
