I‘m not the intended audience for this, and at times I was quite annoyed, but I think teen me would have loved it

Cath‘s a twin, but her twin want to make her own friends as they start college. Cath is trying to navigate this

I‘m not sure I‘ll continue the series, but the cliffhanger ending has me interested

Fangirl manga! Volume one just covers the first quarter(-ish) of the novel, but I enjoyed getting to revisit these characters.

I am Cath lately. Literally obsessed with Attack on Titan.. and Levi. So much so, that I was excited there was a character named Levi in this. I haven‘t read the novel, but I will pick up anything by Sam Maggs. I knew she would do this justice. I loved it. I connected with it. It is a cute, fun story but it also deals with real life hardships. I can‘t wait for the second volume. #staynerdy

This is a cute graphic novel adaptation of the book. The story is the same and I liked the manga style art. This is the first volume of 4 so it leaves off on a bit of a cliffhanger if you haven't read the book.

Gah. I read graphic novels way too fast. Note to self: don't snag them until a series is complete. Glad to have read the original first so the cliffhanger 911 doesn't bother me quite so much but still. Hmmm.... Do I dare start a third book today? 40 minutes until midnight and still a big TBR stack--- yup, think I will.

Wonderful graphic adaptation of one of my favorite books! I just love all of these characters and Maggs has stayed true to Rainbow‘s vision while adding her own spin. (But I can‘t believe I am the dad‘s age now. When did I get so old??) I‘ll definitely be continuing. (This is vol 1 of 4.) Gravoli forever!

I think the graphic novel form really helps me for this book. I find Cathe too whiny and scared and too unwilling to try new things. I do find the Simon Snow storyline interesting, but mainly because I know the author went ahead, wrote and published three of those novels after Fangirl the novel was released. I would read the rest of the GN series as it comes out

Sooo I just read this in 45mins. Haha! It was great. I forgot how much I loved Levi and Reagan! And.. EMERGENCY DANCE PARTY! So cute! When I got it from the library I hadn't realized it was book 1/4. Looking forward to the next, and a possible reread of Fangirl (the novel)

My library hold for this manga came in.. FINALLY! I loved the book when I read it years ago, excited to revisit and then maybe finally get around to the Simon Snow books.

Some more books I‘ve finished in the last few days ♥️I‘ve spent a lot of time doing my paint by numbers, so it‘s been mostly audiobooks for me, aside from a handful of graphic novels I devoured the other night. My favourite graphic was Fangirl, and my favourite audiobook recently listened to was Middlegame. I‘ve surpassed my goal for #jumpstart2021, and I‘m currently sitting at 41 read this year. @Lizpixie

I just realized that I haven‘t been on Litsy in two weeks! 😱 Also, I totally forgot to share my Christmas morning book haul! I took pictures, just forgot to post them. 😂 So here we are! The Locke & Key hardcovers are GORGEOUS in person! And the book of Dad Jokes was a gag gift from the hubs, because he knows how much I laugh at dumb jokes. ❤️😂

Just read the Fangirl manga in one sitting because this is seriously one of my favorite stories of all time. There‘s so much here I truly love. It would never replace the novel, of course, but I LOVE having the pictures to go with the story. Beautifully illustrated, so much to love. Can‘t wait for the other issues!

Fangirl is my favorite Rainbow Rowell novel and it makes such a delightful graphic novel! Looking forward to the next three volumes. I love that this was my #BookSpin pick this month. Just what I needed today. 💕 #BookSpinBingo

I LOVED Fangirl and was excited when I was if was being adapted into a Graphic Novel! I enjoyed revisiting all the characters and hope I don‘t have to wait to long for the next book to come out.

As you might expect, this manga adaptation was delightful—Rowell‘s homage to fan fiction is well suited to this format. The art is fantastic as are the new additions to the story. Definitely a fun read perfect for fans of Fangirl as well as anyone discovering this story (and Simon and Baz in particular) for the first time.
