I loved the idea of the book maybe more than I actually enjoyed the book. For me this was a 3/5 read, and I‘ll be honest… I almost DNFd it a few times. I wish the pace was a little faster, but all in all I‘m glad I stuck with it.
A girl with split personalities attempts to take down a sex trafficking ring.
1st book completed for #20in4 @Andrew65
And the surprise book revealed! #indibookstoreday
“So few people tell you there are other choices. That you can change the story. That we‘re not a fixed product of our past. That there‘s a way to reclaim the many frightened, exiled parts of our selves” ✌️💪✌️
“The patients are neither insane nor lunatics. Rather, they are long-standing sufferers of trauma.”
This book was phenomenal! I‘ve seen a lot of people knocking it because it‘s labeled a thriller, and isn‘t, but the thriller aspects are in there.. they‘re just faint. Either way, I thought it was gorgeously written and totally fascinating!
I‘ve been waiting some time for this one to come out! Since I just picked it up the other day I have to start it!
B&N‘s back open! 🙌🏻👆🏻
I had my doubts when I first picked up this ARC - I‘m glad I gave “The Eighth Girl” a chance, I was immediately captivated and couldn‘t put the book down. Alexa Wu & The Gang are intriguing characters brilliantly crafted by Chung in the setting of London‘s seedy underbelly, and they kept me turning pages, (incorrectly) guessing at what was happening and how it would end. A March Must-Read for the thriller lovers out there! #bookswithbohemianyogini
Fitting, since I accepted a promotion into a new position at work last Monday! 📖☕️ #bookswithbohemianyogini #currentlyreading
