My husband and I went to a Japanese festival yesterday and got a couple of old books for $4. The top one is in pretty bad shape, but we thought we could use it for crafting purposes. The bottom one will just look beautiful.

Pickpick

I really enjoyed this book. It's beautifully rich w/ folklore from the 8th to 12th centuries & covers a wide area of subjects such as Buddhism, Shinto, relationships, death, & spirits (to name a few). Also, there are many folktales that provide life lessons in ethics, morality, honesty, & compassion. Some stories are strange, but most are funny, enlightening, & fascinating! Great study of historical #Japanese culture & beliefs of the era! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nafiza Ooh, I waaant. 8y
