Sell off #2
Just finished this super cute middle grade book in preparation for my September Tween Book Club. We're going to talk about typography and how it impacts the message a reader gets, be it a sign, advertisement, book, etc. Should be fun!
(Personally this is a so-so, but I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it [clearly, as I'm using it for a library program!].)

#lmpbc I always enjoy when I get my books back.

I really enjoyed this round of middle grade novels and graphic novels.
Christina, put this in the mail today. Should be there in about a week.
Thanks for a fun round ladies and for hosting Suellen. #LMPBC
4/5⭐
An adorable middle grade graphic novel about a girl who is convinced she's doomed because she has to start middle school.
Full of little life lessons great for kids and adults alike!
A good reminder to trust in the universe and not get bogged down by how you expect things to go. 😌😉

Starting this cute MG GN! I am sure to like this! 😄

This book is a more girl centric Wimpy Kid. We join our lead as a middle child in Middle School and she hates it!. She very much makes me think of Jan Brady. She feels she doesn‘t get enough attention as the middle child. She is always worried and anxious about not being as good as her brother or as loved as her sister. I get the problems, and see many kids who will not only enjoy this read but find themselves in it.

This was such a cute story of the crisis of fitting in in middle school. As an educator I understand why the teachers “stopped“ her, but I wish they would have let their lunchcapdes keep going.
I have the next two from the library and can't wait to read them.
@LibrarianRyan I sent it off (from SD) and should be to you by Saturday.

I really enjoyed this book. It showed off how many kids feel about middle school, and can find themselves.
There are more in the series that I can't wait to read (on library hold).

Ok ladies and gentlemen, this is what I have us reading so far.
Right now it is a mix of Middle Grade Graphic Novels and Novels.
I am super excited to start reading mine in just over a week!
I plan to use purple as my color of choice for making.

I know one of you said MG/MG GN and another was all YA.
So I was looking at my shelves and have 3 YA and 3 MG books on my TBR list. Do any of these jump out at any of you? I will tag the other's in the comments
Perfect book to start my summer reading! The title also perfectly sums up the way I feel after a crazy last week of school 😂 I adore my students, but this #teacheroflitsy is ready for a break! I think I‘ll read this to my incoming sixies at the beginning of the year ❤️ #summerreading2018
Thank you to my friend @ReadingRover for sending me this one 😘
Lulu and I got surprise #bookmail from my amazing friend @ReadingRover and Lulu‘s true love, Dexter 😍 Everything is PERFECT and the book is totally my life 😂😂😂 This is just what I needed to get me through these last few weeks of school....thanks Megan and Dexter 😘
SO cute! I love the food aspect as I can relate heavily 😂 am sticking this on my daughter's shelf. A good positive story about finding your purpose in middle school.
A short novel about a middle school girl who finds her niche as an organizer. Good inspiration for future politicians. #CampReadALot
Cute! Best suited for those about to experience MIDDLE SCHOOL (which is the equivalent of the last year of primary school in Australia). The illustrations help with the flow of the story (which comprise mostly of Abbie's worries about Middle School and life in general) but I'm really not the target audience. I did enjoy Abbie Wu's dramatic flair though - she's 100% doomed, people, DOOMED!
Abbie's middle school experience is very different from mine (I had a Thing; I didn't have an older sibling; I didn't start middle school with friends because I'd just moved)... but her emotional life still resonates very deeply with me right now.
This made me 😂 in the bookshop!
(How old are you when you start middle school?)
Back in September I didn't think I could log 20 reading materials in 3 months. You all made it a little more possible (and also, deadlines, tbh). 💁🏼
My thoughts exactly when I entered middle school 😋
A+ middle grade graphic novel. Honest and funny and empowering and thoughtful. a goooooood gifting book.
Abbie Wu is a middle child starting middle school and she is FREAKING OUT! A hilarious highly illustrated comic-novel for fans of Ramona and Dork Diaries ⚡️⚡️⚡️
(4 stars) Three Thoughts 1) quick, fun middle grade debut 2) had me laughing out loud and remembering the horrors of middle school 3) filled with fun quirky drawings bonus) hope we see more of Abbie Wu
I can't with these illustrations. 💯
We just got this book in out our library and I'm stoked because it might as well be a memoir of my life. #melodramaqueen
Humorous bits; pretty great illustrations, but I think if I gave this to my niece it would give her even more anxiety about starting middle school next year.
