Driving home one night, Cassie sees a man and a woman fighting. After calling 911, she makes the decision to intervene. Her decision ends up having consequences she could never imagine.
This book was a wild ride and sometimes it verged on ridiculous. However, if you can suspend disbelief; you‘re in for a treat.
⭐️⭐️⭐️💫
My March “Books for Coffee” surprise from #thebookdrop! This book was a lot of fun, if a bit far-fetched. It hooked me from the start and the short chapters kept me turning the pages. A good pick when you‘re in the mood for some wild entertainment (if you‘re okay with suspending disbelief!)
A woman drives up on an assault and gets involved. The attacker says “let her die and I‘ll let you live”.

The pace of this is frenetic and doesn't let up, and maybe that is why so many have rated this highly. They didn't have time to stop and analyze all the reveals.

Awesome thriller from this debut author! I didn‘t want to put it down! Good twists and never-ending spooks!
Thank you, #NetGalley! Sorry for the delayed post on this one, but with all the Brody drama, I just did not have a chance to post this!
This is a fast paced thriller where secrets, lies & betrayals all unfold as Cassie strives to both learn the truth & protect her family after a chance encounter on the side of the road sets her world in a tailspin! Entertaining from start to finish, this is a strong debut & I‘m curious to see what comes next!
No Bad Deed is a fast paced thriller that will keep you guessing. You don‘t want to miss this one! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chavez does such a wonderful job, with this story. She must have started with the intricacies of the planned mystery and worked in the rest of the story. Don‘t worry character‘s do not lack at all. I absolutely could not put this book down at all. I am kind of meh on thrillers but this one should go straight to the top of your lists if you enjoy this genre.

Last month I declared that I was officially done with the TBR piles so let‘s not call this a TBR pile, okay? 😬 Technically, it is a stack of two books that I already started in November, two ARCs I plan to get to in December, and our book club pick, The Secret Garden. I still have a huge pile of potentials to pick from to go along with these reads. Do you have any books selected for December? What are you reading now?
Heather Chavez‘s debut thriller heavily relies on the reader suspending their disbelief and I found it too difficult to overlook the coincidences and contrivances that build the plot to enjoy it - especially as the antagonist proves to be from the stereotypical “bad and mad” stable that made me roll my eyes - such that although it is a pacy read, I can‘t say I‘ll rush to read her next novel.
Haven‘t had much reading time lately. When I do have time, I‘ve had library books with deadlines. Finally had time to start one of my ARCs. It‘s good so far!
February 2020 is promising us some really great books! Heather Chavez‘s debut thriller No Bad Deed is one of them! I‘m really looking forward to this story! Is this one on your radar yet? The premise sounds terrifying and I love the fact that the protagonist is a veterinarian!
