A cute collection of short stories centered on dogs.
My favorites of the bunch were Magnus and Company, Tristan‘s Vigil, and The Dustbin Dog.

I love looking at my bingo board. It is a reminder of all the places I visited, the historical times I explored, all the people I got to know and love and some not so much. April was a great month for all of that. Looking forward to where May will take me.

This is a good system, I think better designed for puppies that really care about their people than Akitas (they are very independent) but still has some useful information and training options.

It was interesting to see the growth of the dogs and the author and his love of his new community. There were times when I was on the fence, so to speak, about his contention that dogs make people better. Do they? I believe so. However, it isn‘t there job to do so. All of that is the responsibility of the human.

I‘m enjoying this. Cozy English mystery, where the dog‘s thoughts are part of the narration. He‘s a failed police dog named Rex Harrison who is not terribly obedient 😂 His owner is a retired police detective who gets involved in solving crimes. I have a Shepherd mix named Carter whose thought process reminds me a lot of Rex. Smart, with a mind of his own. 😉 He enjoys taking up 2/3 of our couch. Shown with Lilly, our beagle/pit mix.

This was a premise about which I was initially slightly skeptical, but I eschewed my cynicism & read on. And I was pleasantly surprised not just by the fact that the premise worked really well, but also by how much I enjoyed this book! It really did totally grab me. Moving & surprisingly thought provoking with a cracking redemption arc for the bad guy & a really satisfying ending. And dogs. What more could you want really? 🐕🐶🐕

It‘s been a rough day, so I checked this out from library and read it to Bailey who likes to chase bees. She didn‘t seem impressed, but I found it delightful. 🤣🤣🐝🐝

It has been years since I read this book, but I remember loving it.
