Definitely not Forman‘s strongest book, but I am glad I stuck with it—the beginning gives us a fairly unlikeable character Maribeth, who almost dies and then does some out of character things that makes me honestly despise her for a while. However, about 2/3 in, it all starts to come together and by the end, I was rooting for her and even cried a bit.
This is Forman‘s first book for adults & while I enjoyed it, I couldn‘t help but feel it really scratched the surface rather than diving deep into the characters, their lives & motivations. Maribeth has a heart attack & finds the recovery to be difficult—so much so, she leaves her family & goes off to find herself. She makes new friends, unravels an old secret & gradually finds a way to reconnect with her husband & children. Good, not great read.
This was a quick audio listen for me. If you‘ve ever had a medical crisis, you‘ll find yourself relating to this heroine‘s improbable choice. Forman has finesse and the narrator was terrific.

A story about leaving, returning, and adoption. Good book, just doesn't wow me
I really like this book so far, but holy cats is her life stressing me out just to read about! Love Gayle Forman‘s writing, though 💙
Saturday night - in bed and starting to read this. Let‘s see how this goes. 🛏 📖 📚 😊

Have any of my fellow Littens read this book? Would you recommend? Please let me know. ☺️
Leave Me was okay, but several parts seemed less than likely. I didn‘t really buy the cardiologist fraternizing with his patient, nor did I completely believe in a mother leaving her children, then missing them enough to write to them, but not mailing the letters. All in all? Maybe. But it‘s a stretch.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one! After Maribeth has a heart attack, and her husband and kids can't let her relax for more than a few days, she runs away from home so she has the chance to get better. It's a journey of finding herself and what's important in life. There isn't much to dissect in this novel, but it's an easy, entertaining read.
After two years, my boyfriend and I are at a comfortable enough place that I can read and he can watch tv and play phone games, and no one gets mad. It's fantastic! Hahaha
Mug cake and a new book! Lazy desserts = American #Happy4thofJuly #mugcake #reademandeat
I left my current book in the car yesterday, so last night I started this book instead of walking outside to get my other book. 😳🤓
July choice for Library Book Group. I ended up liking this book but, halfway through, I was not a fan of the main character. She has made some choices that I found questionable. However, as the book progressed I realized, as the character did, that there were pieces missing from the puzzle. As the author reveal those pieces, I began to soften up my feelings toward the main character. And when all was said and done, I understood her choices.
YES, yes they are. Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. #okaysobigclooneyfan
No, it would not surprise me at all.
This book was SO good. I seriously could not put it down... I would recommend this to anyone that likes a contemporary story, and anyone that is a Gayle Forman fan! 5/5 stars ✨ #Gayleforman #leaveme #novel #bookish
I haven't read this one yet, but since it's about a woman running away from her family, I can only assume that it eventually gets around to her #ComingHome. #LyricalApril
I love Gayle Forman's YA books and I loved this. The last 10 pages or so made me both laugh out loud and get teary-eyed. I've wondered if I would have liked the protagonist less if I had kids myself but I don't so I can only view her from that perspective and I liked her just fine. I found this to be a very enjoyable read! I loved the burger too, by the way. Yum!
Just finished this beautiful book by Gayle Forman. I did it half audio half paper. It hit so close to home just on the being a woman trying to take care of everyone and everything end. Plenty of food for thought here.
Wow! I almost read this in one sitting. The story was compelling and I loved the exploration of what it means to loose people that you love. And yes, I cried (that's good). Thank you again @suomi for my #WinterSolsticeBookExchange #SecretSantaGoesPostal I'm paying this one forward by passing it along 🤓

4.5🌟 This is a book that was better on audio than in print! (I've read it both ways.) Such a great story of heartbreak and forgiveness. I hope Forman writes more adult books because I'll definitely read them! I'm sorry if you missed out on this great daily deal.
Awesome day in Vegas! Full morning of informative CE, then a trip to Spa Mandalay for a pedicure and leg wax, now a Lush bubble bath with audiobook. 😊😊😊 Yes, it is Yuzu Cocoa! Perfect.
Love it when the Audible daily deal is a book I have on my need-to-get list AND it has good reviews. 👍
