I cannot believe I read this in less than 24 hours. This might be my new favourite book series which makes me feel bad because I‘m loyal to Jeeves & Wooster. But honestly this is the 2nd book from this series and the 2nd one I‘ve voted 5 stars
YA series about a school for spies, the girls decide to investigate when the East Wing of the school is shut off and no one tells them why

So I‘m on a book ban until at-least the 13th September, but you can bet your bottom dollar that when that date comes around I‘m going to buy at-least 10 books because I‘ve managed to get my TBR down to 1 shelf and that‘s just not acceptable 😂

This series is good.

These books look like so much fun. It's okay to read them as a grown up, isn't it?!

I read part of this on an airplane and a bit in my hotel and a bit in Central Park. I liked it - not as much as the first one - but I'll still read the next one. They're fun and frothy, and perfect for lazy vacation reads.

Reading on the pool deck at our hotel! (Slightly sad I forgot to pack a swimsuit... but the view makes up for it!)

Boys. It doesn't matter that you're trained super spies, they still make teenage girls crazy.

That moment when you're halfway through a book and realize it's the second in a series and not the first.
Sigh...
Second time in recent memory that I've done that.
Luckily, I was able to get my hands on the first one.

Picked this up because I needed a light, easy, cute read. It's coming through so far.

spy stuff is hard. Girl stuff is hard. But I doubt there‘s anything harder than spy-girl stuff.

I‘d thought he was chivalrous (but he wasn‘t). I‘d thought he was cute (but tall, dark, and handsome is highly overrated when you think about it). And worst of all, I‘d thought he‘d been flirting…with me.

all I heard was the crackling of wood in the fireplace and the sigh of a girl who, after spending every spare moment for a week barricaded in the library, was starting to lose faith in books

The bad guys could be anyone, they could be anywhere, and the odds would always be in their favour.

even though the truth can set you free, that doesn‘t mean it won‘t be painful.

I once saw her give herself a bloody nose while opening a can of Pringles. (I‘m soooo not even making that up.)

This is a pick because it has mostly female characters and they are non-traditional in that they're training to be spies. It takes place in a school so it also has typical school elements - friends, crushes, etc. However, it's not overly violent and there are no sexy-times other than an occasional kiss. It also shows some consequences for actions, which is a plus. It's fairly safe for pre-teens and teens to read.

Another one I remember reading and liking but didn't ever finish the rest of the series so....
