pickThis was the first contemporary romance that I have read from this author but have always loved her historical ones. This one was good but fairly predictable. I am happy that Long‘s signature humor was abundant here, and I think I fell a little for the movie star hero with a heart of gold. His wedding toast alone is worth the read!❤️The waitress/artist heroine was not one of my favorite leading ladies from her, but still a solidly good read! 4/5⭐️
Excited to finally start this series from one of my favorite historical romance authors! I‘ve never read a contemporary from her so I‘m a little nervous to see how this measures up to her historicals. 😬 I‘ve heard good things! 🤞🤞

She's independent, loving, funny, and altogether wonderful. I loved that her head was not turned by the handsome movie star who strolled into her restaurant. so-soLoved the characters and setting, but "he's famous, she's not" would have been enough drama for me without a ton of ex girlfriend and miscommunication stuff thrown in at the end.
