I‘m emptying out bins of books-stored because of drywall work and painting in my office. I forgot about this one. Small book, but full of bookish art and essays. 🙂 I‘m putting it on my desk where I can easily reach it.
Quote from tagged book attributed to L.M. Montgomery. Lovely small book of essays, poems, & illustrations. The essay by the author, “ I‘d Rather Be Reading, The Autobiography of a Bookworm”, reminded me of the gift of growing up being read to & surrounded by books. #rushathon #August
This was short and sweet. Enjoyable, with fun cutesy pictures and a few thoughtful essays. I interlibrary loaned this so I could read it. Glad I did because it‘s not one I‘d pay $13 for. Would be a great option in a coffee shop or airb&b because it‘s such a short read.
Bookish art, essays, and poems. 💚
We‘re slowly getting there. 🙂
Picked up this adorable, little book at my state school librarian's conference. A great way to wind down tonight.
Current situation: it is parent conference day. Out of about 190 students I teach, I have TWO parents scheduled for a meeting. It‘s a great opportunity to get some work done, but I am getting distracted by Litsy and deciding what book to read next. 😁
Quick read of essays, poetry, and artwork on reading.
Book 225/265 8/5/19
My July wrap up, minus the 24 children‘s books I read, because that‘d just take up too much room. 24in48 always helps with the book count.
Favorites: Friday Black and The Heart Goes Last.
Time for a break from my chunkster to read something a little lighter. Sietje says it‘s nap time, but I think I can get a few more hours in before I nap. Currently at 18 hours 5 minutes! #24in48
I‘m doing #24in48 a little differently this time, as I try to get through this crazy stack of kids books for @LibrarianRyan ‘s #BBRC picture book A to Z! This is almost my full A to Z, in order, with the exception of two I‘ve already read (p and u) and of x and z, which I haven‘t found yet. About half of these are my own, half Library.
I‘m hoping to get most of the way through TPOTOG, but chose a few backups Incase it doesn‘t hold my attention.
Thank you for the birthday book @Kdgordon88 ! The title is a sentiment I think all Littens can relate to! The bookmarks are lovely too 😊. Thank you for thinking of me 💕
Super fast read. 4 short essays and a lot of neat book-loving images/cartoons/quotes.
Will resonate with readers. Could work great as a coffee table book if you are into that kind of book display. Recommend. Read in one sitting.
"It is her voice I hear when I reread my favorite books from childhood." page 9 essay entitled "Autobiography of a Bookworm" by Guinevere de la Mare
I really need to buy fewer. I bought 111 in 2018. I read 52. Not the best ratio. #IN2019 @RealLifeReading
A sweet little book about the joys of reading 💕
A tiny book of some lovely art and a few essays. Nothing substantial, but nice to look at. A nice palette cleanser for book lovers.
So-so to a book on reading (what did I say about rocking #unpopularopinions today?) 😱?!? By its own definition, this is an art book. While the three written essays are very, very good, I found the art itself to be odd and a little amateurish. I love Gretchen Rubin‘s piece and the Ann Patchett makes me want to both shop at her store and read more but I‘m not sure those are enough to warrant the purchase of an art book with poor art. #borrownotbuy
An interesting article... a little pretentious and I can‘t say I agree with the dismissal of everything other than what the author seems “real literature” but this quote is brilliant.
THIS. I‘m sure it‘s some sort of book sin but other than potentially Joan Didion, who I also cannot stand (cranking out the #unpopularopinions today!), but I am deeply skeptical when it comes to modern application of “critical reading” as we assess it in our institutions of learning.
I received this as a gift and was ambivalent until I read the Gretchen Rubin and Ann Patchett .... ♥️♥️♥️
This is both a book I want to read at some point and my exact mood right now because OMG why isn't it 5 pm yet?! #longday #ratherbereading
“A book is a heart that only beats in the chest of another.”
A short collection of poems and art for those who love to read. Super short, so easy to read and savor again and again.

Went to buy a present. Got a few for myself.😉
So it's not as drastic as the picture, obviously... but I have been having health issues. As such, I wore leggings to work bc they're most comfortable right now. Because they aren't dress code, I got in trouble. Even though the majority of my coworkers don't abide by the rules either...

Fun illustrations, good quotes, and includes good advice on how to read more!
Love the colors in these pages!
I‘m going to read through this cute little thing in order to break from Lululemons for a little.. expect lots of posts of the pics!!

This one's on my TBR i see it as a celebration of books for booklovers 📚💕🎉
Super cute mini-coffee table book
This book is filled with awesome book art and bookish quotes! 😀📚❤
