1️⃣ No, but whenever I read Haruki Murakami I have weird dreams.
2️⃣ It‘s probably a tie between To Kill a Mockingbird, The Great Gatsby, and the Harry Potter books.
3️⃣ My priorities for May are to finish the school year strong, and make time for crafting self-care.

pickMurakami is a master in storytelling. Despite the absurd characters, plot and dialogue, as a reader you feel very connected to the subjects and their world. A good introduction to this author and I look forward to reading one of his novels.
so-soIt was great getting to know Murakami in this collection of short stories. He is a master of metaphor and capturing moments that are both disorienting and human (see "The Mirror" and "The Seventh Man"). Yet, some stories were dull (e.g., "Tony Takitani") and others too different to fit well with this collection (eg"The Ice Man"). I have heard that this isn't Murakami's best work... Let me know if you have any Murakami recommendations!

pickI love Murakami‘s short stories. It‘s hard to choose a favorite from this collection, but “Poor Aunt” is the one that sticks with me the most.

pickThis collection of short stories was much better than Men Without Women. The protagonists are interesting, ordinary, strange, and real. The stories had cats, Jazz, food, and a wide range of relationships, all infused with the Murakami brand of weirdness. #AuthorAMonth

pick(Taking pictures of glossy library books is hard.) This collection from Haruki Murakami was on my #tbrexplode list for March, and I only meant to flip through it. But after reading "The Year of Spaghetti" he pulled me in. Other favorites include "Birthday Girl," "Crabs," and "Chance Traveler."
I sometimes think that people‘s hearts are like deep wells. Nobody knows what‘s at the bottom. All you can do is imagine by what comes floating to the surface every once in a while.
Anybody have some advice? Bought this used paperback and didn‘t notice until I started reading that the binding is cracked in the middle. The pages are all still held in there but I‘m worried if it keeps falling open where it‘s broken that the pages will fall out eventually. The internet says Elmer‘s glue and pressure will do the trick but I wanted to ask you guys. :)

pickThis man is truly one of my favorite authors. This book was very good, strange in places "normal in others" but his ability to draw you into his stories even his short stories is amazing.

Honestly, this sounds pretty close to something my husband would do. He doesn't think Hurricane Matthew will be all that bad. Our apartment is a block away from the intercoastal waters & a mile or two from the ocean in Palm beach county. He's been so nonchalant about it and it kills me. I'm worried I won't be in much contact with him, so he says he'll walk to a pay phone. WHERE ARE THERE PAYPHONES THESE DAYS? AND YOU DONT WALK IN A HURRICANE!😱😡
