I was surprised how much I liked this! I have seen the show and loved it. Characters were fleshed out; they had their secrets and past mistakes. They felt realistic and it was easy to relate to them.

I loved the adventure this book gave me, the whole idea is amazing and intriguing. I loved how their creepy society and I just kept having the feeling how this wasn't all and there is so much more on it's way.

I don‘t think I‘ve posted this one yet. My #worstof21 are easily these three.

The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu was a DNF due to the misleading blurb. I loved the info about the books and the subject‘s family, but couldn‘t handle weeding through political & war movements to get to those snippets.

The 100 is all teen angst & romance with very little else. Skip the book, watch the tv show instead. The show has so much more depth which I loved.⬇️

So I loved the show. I picked up the book expecting it to be like it but you can tell the show kind of combined characters. The book is different but good. But honestly didn‘t want to pick up the others because I liked the show better.

Day 1/20- Since I'm only 14, I haven't read more than 15 series. So I guess I'm going to do this in a different way..
The 100 by Kass Morgan is great. I first saw the series, then read the books. The books were okayish, but the series was amazing❤️

So I finished the 100 so far. I enjoyed it and am looking forward to watching the series of that one. And yesterday the Giver just downloaded from Libby.

No! I mean I am scared of the possible “responsibilities“ I would have in the dystopian world. Being a nurse during COVID is scary sometimes. And I feel its my “duty“ to be a voice of safety/reason/health during this time. But a true dystopian apocalyptic world.. no thanks!

So. I blazed through one of next month's books for our #NovelWatchingCrew (#NWC) I had a couple days off and my husband took a huge nap so that added to my speed in listening to this one. Also I wanted to finish it quickly so we can start watching the show together! Yay!

This was a hard no for me, but I'm giving it So-So for trying to be politically relevant and deal with hard issues.

Finished Nerve tonight. Talk about a wild ride! Starting The 100 now!

So I'm heading to stobo castle spa for the weekend! I've been so busy I really haven't had the time to get back into reading. But I'm looking forward to unwinding in this amazing place! I might take my copy of the 100 to read :)

I was always a huge fan of the tv show so of course I needed to read the books. The first implement of the series was fantastic. For fans of the show you see familiar faces but my favourite part were the new ones! Also if you were never a fan of the show don‘t fret the books are amazing and are incredibly well written. I highly recommend the quartet for anyone who is a fan of sci-fi, YA or any form of teen novel! Happy reading!

I love the tv series so I figured I would love this book & I really did. I finished the second one & thought it was pretty good too! I‘m only hanging onto the third & fourth because of bellarke lol.

I liked it but didn‘t love it. Told in so many POV, I struggled to connect with any of the characters and the plot revolved more around romance than survival. I wanted more action less romance. Not sure I will read further in this series.

I won‘t post much here because this was the latest pick in #TheBreakfastBookClub and not everyone has read it yet.

In a nutshell - I really liked the show (check it out on Netflix!) and was therefore looking forward to this read. After finishing book 1 in the series, I think I will just finish the TV show. 🤫

I started reading the next pick in #thebreakfastbookclub yesterday, giving me plenty of time to read it before this month‘s mailing deadline. (Aka I‘m feeling on top of the world at the moment)

I enjoyed this book, and I also didn‘t. 🤷🏼‍♀️ But I‘ll probably keep reading the series because I‘m curious now.

Listening to The 100 while working today.

I amazingly liked this book. Not my usual genre, and I‘ve never seen the TV show. It‘s fast paced with a humdinger of a cliffhanger at the end. Glad to have had the opportunity to read this through #TheBreakfastBookClub . Also, first book completed for the #readathon . 228 pages read so far in a little less than 3 hours.

Littens...I feel like I‘ve been neglecting you! I knew October would be busy - between the busiest adult programming month for the One Book celebration at my library system and a library conference - but, I also had 2 staff member unexpectedly leave (for valid reasons) and will have another temporarily leave next week. It‘s been crazy, pulling 10-12 hour days the last couple weeks.

This was a fun, fast read! I enjoyed trying to pick out the differences in how they adapted the novel into a tv series. Multiple POVs are not my favorite, but I can see why they were necessary to tell this story. Overall, it wasn‘t earth-shattering, but it was entertaining! 🚀🚀🚀🚀

Reading the 100 series so far loving it.

This has been on my TBR since I first found the show on Netflix and I‘ve got to say I was a little disappointed. In my opinion, the characters are much less developed and not much happened plot-wise in the 300+ pages. First time I‘ve ever thought the TV show was better.

I had to force myself to read this book. I kept comparing this to he tv show (which I love) and not liking the differences between them. It was really slow going since you needed to know a lot of background (but if you watched the show this just makes it a very slow read). I didn‘t think this book was really building up to anything until the last chapter.

Another song that is on loop in my car, Imagine Dragons' Radioactive. My daughter loves to sing along and has mastered the first few lines correctly. She does the breathing perfectly. 😁

I love this tv show and the characters they‘ve created there for the last few years so it‘s interesting to pick up the book and see how different they are. But I‘m a sucker for anything that gets me deeper into this world so I‘m devouring this 😅
