I completely enjoyed this book! I learned about bees and enjoyed a different kind of romance. It was so fun. It was an easy, relaxed read, but was not dumbed down at all.

Such a fun book!! We follow the lives of Holly, her sister Leslie and their mother (the queen bee). We see their ups and downs. There is so much that I laughed out loud about while reading this book. I will read more by this author now that I have discovered her. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
June #BookSpin @TheAromaofBooks read during the #24B4Monday Readathon. Funny, peculiar family drama with some clichés. Holly narrates her life story, her relation with Queen Bee, her mother, and her family dynamic through some similarities with the life of honey bees. First part was slow but the last half was funny and cute. I liked that we have here different kind of relationships. Love Suzanne, a female impersonator. Author died Sep 2019? 3.3⭐️
Cute book. The author died in September but I think there is another book coming out next year. Her books are sweet.
I opened this book and there‘s my favorite poem! 😂
Loving the pumpkin bath bomb! 🎃🎃

Dorothea Benton Frank, beloved Lowcountry author, dies https://www.postandcourier.com/news/dorothea-benton-frank-beloved-lowcountry-aut... via @postandcourier
A fun lowcountry tale that‘s delightful to read. Not only was it a good story, I loved the information on bees. From Holly and her sweetness and love for her neighbor's children to her crazy sister and cranky mother, I loved how the story flowed and kept me intrigued.
If you need a quick and easy summer read, this is it. 🐝
Loved it! DBF continues to deliver lovely, lowcountry tales. Perfect summer read.
The story took a minute to get into, but the characters were wonderfully charming from the get go
I loved this! This one had so many surprises for me, and it made me smile often and laugh out loud a few times! I really didn‘t put this book down once I picked it up. I just flew right thru it. There are themes of love and acceptance and humanity throughout. Ms. Frank is one of my favorites for writing real family issues and family relationships sprinkled with humor. And I love love love that the bees played more of a role than I expected!! 🐝
My husband is cooking dinner for my family tonight 🙌🏻 so I‘m hiding away with one of my FAVORITE authors. Ms Frank never disappoints and I‘m enjoying this one so far. The main character, Holly, is a beekeeper in the South Carolina Lowcountry. To cope with her zany family, she talks to her bees —> I love that!! 🐝🐝🐝
Thanks to William Morrow for sending this beautiful review copy!
