Ekkkk I still can‘t get over how I managed to find all of these! DragonDrums made it difficult but I am so glad I kept looking. I love this trilogy so much and these are to me the best covers made for it, and they have quiet a few cover options. Ah nostalgia at its best!

A series that really spoke to me when I read it years ago is the Harper Hall Trilogy. I had just started college and was struggling with my Math major choice. I wanted to major in Music but Clemson University, which I LOVED, didn‘t offer a degree in Music. I eventually transferred to another university which I never loved.

Making a Dragon Scarf. But I think of mine as a fire lizard scarf, despite being over a metre long. Currently working on the wing skeletons, but here's the base. I think I might re-read the Harper Hall books after this!

OK Ender is great and everything but my lifetime role-model/hero has to be Menolly. The Harper hall trilogy- and all of #Pern really, is my all time favourite #belovedseries. There are dragons, life endangering peril, a strong young girl who pours everything into her passion for music, good god what more do you need?! Read them. Read them all.

@moranadatter requested a pic of my fire lizard tattoo. It is based off the cover art from this trilogy by Elizabeth Malczynski. I loved this trilogy as a teen and found Ms. Malczynski's beautiful covers in a used bookstore. I met the artist in 2012 at DragonCon in Atlanta & got prints of the cover art! A little over a year ago, I got this tattoo (I named her Alora) to celebrate my lifelong love of reading.

Day 20 #readingwomenmonth - #shelfie. I actually have 4 shelves that happen to have only books by women on them, but they're all on different bookcases and I'm too lazy to mess around with collages today. So here's half of one of them, my Anne McCaffrey collection. Most from library book sales, well loved and well read, but a few still tbr.

This trilogy set within the vast Dragonriders of Pern world of Anne McCaffrey was one of my first forays into fantasy and still one of my favorites. Menolly, her music, and the fire-lizards she tames are just brilliant as well as her return to Harper Hall in the 2nd book. This is a perfect subset if you don't have the fortitude to tackle all 20+ Pern books at once! But after these, you just might 📚💕🐉
