Eh. Seemed forced. Hard to relate. This was a cool scene though.

One of the best thinks about this graphic novel? A non binary main character!
Same pretense - short, no stress - beautiful art story in the same world but different characters. This one felt more emotional in meaning. How the little things we do, that we don‘t realize we take for granted, is what makes us unique. Liked the Drahon shifter finding what it means to fit into a new place, a new home.
I love this comics by Katie o'neill. They are so cute and have aich lovely messages.

The second book about the tea dragons and I liked this better than the first. This time it also includes dragons. Another cute story. And the illustrations are amazing.
2nd book for #OutstandingOctober

These books are just too adorable! I also love the diversity in them. They have good lessons for kids as well. They're just so warm and cozy. I found some enamel pins of three of the tea dragons and showed them to my husband who immediately told me to buy them. I really wish I could have my own tea dragon.
My weekend with audiobooks, comic and favorite book #20in4
saturday only 4 minutes before sleeping
sunday 1 hour and 16 minutes ✨
The kids crashed early tonight (it‘s been a week of late nights as my siblings are all child-less and don‘t get the need for bedtimes…) so I borrowed this from Kindle Unlimited. I needed something light and quick, and this fit the bill perfectly! I adore O‘Neill‘s illustrations.
Very much here for gender fluid dragons (and non-binary characters created by non-binary authors).
This was an installment that showed what has happened before the first book in the series. Erik and Hese were there and they were actually the only familiar characters.
This book made me want to have some similar kind of party on my garden, that looked so amazing!

Tea works great for any season, but it's especially cozy in autumn! It was hard to choose between tea, hot cider (and grownup hor cider), pumpkin spice lates, and pumpkin beers (my favorite beer style) for my #Haunted prompt 9 of fall beverage, but I picked tea because my husband pulled out this autumn-colored page in Tea Dragon Festival. #PhotoChallenge
It's day one of #LitsySummerCamp!
1. 🏕and the back of my 4Runner sometimes!
2. Sagebrush Veil
3. There's tons of beautiful nature in the tagged book 🥰
4. Hmm, maybe catch up on book social media posts for the last several months, 3+ manga volumes, finish an audiobook, start an audiobook, and start Zenobia July?
I was so happy to be back in this comfy world again. This book was like coming home. I was delighted to see familiar faces and happy to meet new ones. The Tea Dragon Festival includes a bipoc non-binary lead, a genderfluid supporting character and also has disability rep. This heart warming graphic novel is such a welcome and much needed addition to bookshelves. You can tell the art was drawn with love and the story reads like a warm hug feels.
A perfect find for the #CuriousCovers mountain prompt! There are some gorgeous illustrations of mountains throughout this book. It's one of many reasons I adore this series 🥰
This prequel is so precious. An actual, non-tea dragon? Seeing Hesekiel and Erik in their younger years, just as in sync and in love? A community where everyone learned sign language in order to communicate with one of their neighbors? SIGN ME UP. The artwork and color pallette are gorgeous, and the little tea dragons continue to make me squee. I can't wait for the third book!
P.S. "I know that feeling." ???
I too just want biscuits. And a lil creature companion like this fellow biscuit lover. 🥰
This prequel to The Tea Dragon Society is another lovely fantasy story as gentle and it is magical, a nice read to give your weary heart a rest from our world. 🌱🫖🐉
Read for March Bookland Challenge, Graphic Novel: Friend Pick!
Massive library haul! The tagged book, a bunch more SILVER SPOON, and a volume of TO YOUR ETERNITY made it through processing all at once. I also got the volumes I need to start a full-series SKIP BEAT! reread, two books by Andre Alexis, and two X-books to save for early March.
I‘m slowly converting a librarian friend across to the graphic novel dark side! It‘s quite exciting when you find someone who is like - yes - please lend me more graphic novels to read!! She said The Tea Dragon Society was her favourite so far (we‘ve done Nimona and all the Heartstoppers) - so hopefully this one delivers!
Hoopla also had book 2, which is a companion book set before the first book. I decided to make it my next read and again, really enjoyed it! I really liked how their was sign language used in this book. That is definitely not something you see very often in a graphic novel! This was another book with good characters, great art, and a message that relatable. I want a tea dragon!

This book features leaves on the dragon horns that are picked for teas.

This is such a cute graphic novel (book 2). I‘m now on hold for book three when it comes out. 🐉
This book has the cutest art and story! I love this graphic comic so much!!
Unsurprisingly, I adored this highly inclusive book. It's very sweet, and the art is incredible. Poc characters, regular use of sign language, a gender queer character, a gay couple, an old woman, cute little tea dragons and beautiful plant accents in every panel... What more could anyone ask for?

Enjoy!
Cute! Not as cute as the first book, but still a light, beautiful read.
Just because something comes easily to you, does not mean it has no value. You find it effortless BECAUSE you love it, and that is why it is your gift.
5/5⭐ Pure MAGIC on every level. It's written so that it's accessible to both children and adults with no loss of meaning or intensity for either age group. It's gorgeous, heartwarming, adorable, meaningful without being cheesy or pedantic. Also I am now very hungry.
I could post pictures of the artwork in this graphic novel all day! This is a gorgeous book - the art, the colors, the weight of the paper - everything! I was a little sad that this is a prequel rather than a sequel to the first book, but enjoyed the read nonetheless.
Also love how the characters and creatures are just from the author's imagination. Even the dragons are soft and furry rather than filled with fire and covered in scales.
Saturday snuggles include a gorgeous graphic novel - one snuggly girl (Calli) and one pup chewing his bone (Zeus). #dogsoflitsy
Simply beautiful! Look at those faces!!! I love Katie O‘Neill‘s use of colour - it‘s so restful and inviting, I can imagine loving living in this mountain village ☺️ especially if I got to hang out with the grumpy mountain camomile dragon 😂😍 such a cutie!
Like all of Katie O‘Neill‘s books, the artwork in this is beautiful. I was kind of sad that the Tea Dragons are in the background and not as much a part of the story in this one. It does feature actual dragons, though, and the story was sweet. Part of the story also has characters using sign language.

Reading Katie O‘Neill‘s new book, I just love her color palette 🎨. In addition to Tea Dragons, this book has actual dragons! 🐉

Thanks to #netgalley I got a chance to read #TheTeaDragonFestival by Katie O‘Neill. It is a beautifully illustrated graphic novel that is set before her Tea Dragon Society.
You‘ve seen the ridiculously adorable tea dragons from Katie O‘Neill‘s previous book but this time be prepared to meet an actual dragon (as well as more tea dragons because I‘ll never get enough of those little guys)! Wonderful book, definitely recommend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This is officially my #1 favorite children‘s book of 2019. It‘s fun, inclusive, and absolutely adorable, and the illustrations are absolutely gorgeous! I mean, look at these little tea dragons!
This has got to be one of the cutest books I‘ve seen in a while! Blep. #netgalley #readathon #arc
My summer course is over. What will I do for a month? I couldn‘t help myself.
This was an awesome graphic novel with heart warming themes. I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. #arc #netgalley #Booked2019 #diversemiddlegrade @Cinfhen @4thhouseontheleft @BarbaraTheBibliophage
I haven't read The Tea Dragon Society, but when this popped up in #netgalley I had to request it because it looks so adorable. And it was just the kind of sweet, comforting read I needed in between some heavy group reads & one of Shakespeare's problem plays. I loved the inclusive characters, the lush, richly-coloured panels, and this gently enchanted world of floofy tea dragons and humanoid dragons. Now I want my own Mountain Chamomile Dragon! 😆
The Tea Dragon Festival is as sweet and gentle and adorable as the first. Erik and Hesekiel are back, this time returning to Erik‘s small-town mountain home for a long-overdue visit. There is a little bit of a mystery to solve, a dragon and other characters to meet, and super cute and sometimes grumpy-looking tea dragons to adore. I always love to visit Katie O‘Neill‘s rich, colorful worlds. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️
An adorable prequel to The Tea Dragon Society set in a mountain village full of tea dragons. When Rinn discovers an actual dragon sleeping in a ruined house, they help him find his place and gain a powerful new friend along the way. Loved the use of sign language, the soft illustrations, and sweet story-- something I've come to expect from O'Neill. Also the floofy Mountain Chamomile tea dragon is my new fave-- so cute and grumpy!
This prequel was written for an older child audience, which I quite like, and maintains the adorable art and light life lessons. I am sad there wasn‘t as much concentration on the tea dragons, but meeting a humanoid dragon was a fun alternative. I don‘t love this book as much as I loves the first one, but I did enjoy it more as a graphic novel. 3/5 stars
Insert pterodactyl-screech here because I /LIVE/ for tea dragons. The Tea Dragon Society is an all-time favourite of mine and I've been waiting for this for 84 years and I'm /so excited/. AH!!
