How September is almost over is beyond me! I caught a little stomach bug that slowed me down but im feeling better! I‘m taking part of the day to update my bullet journal and finish this book. I‘m not too into it but I‘m hoping it gets better.
I've got a long layover in Dallas.

I've got a long day of airports and plane rides. I'm hoping to finish this book from my #TBRdeckofcards list by the time I land in Seattle.

Starting this after bailing on Realm Breaker. Hopefully I like this one better. I‘ve not heard of this author, seems like a typical YA fantasy read, lucky for me I LOVE those!!! #wishmeluck #newauthor #YA
"Sparks leaped from the hearth and settled onto my fingers, heat drawn to heat, and glittered like molten gems against my skin." This sentence from the book is very compelling. It shows that that character has some sort of special ability, since they are able to hold something so hot directly on their skin. This quote is also a great example of how amazingly descriptive the author's writing is. Readers will be drawn in to read it. @MrsBabki
I realized that I had forgotten to write about Frostblood after I had written about the other two books in the trilogy, so here it is. Frostblood is an exceptional novel. I truly love the personality of the main character Ruby. She is independent, clever, powerful, and courageous. It was impossible to put the book down every night. I highly recommend this to anyone who loves a page turning, fast-paced read with a sizzling romance. @MrsBabki
Where to even begin with this book... It‘s very very similar to Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard. So it was like rereading that book. Also Arcus was very moody and confusing at times... like there were aspects that were really good but over all, it was just ok.
This was amazing! It‘s everything I was hoping I would read! And if me buying the sequel 5 minutes after I finished is any indicator on how I felt about this book then maybe this will be
If you are fan of Falling Kingdoms or Throne of Glass then this book is for you! It is honestly so good, and I can‘t wait to read the rest and see the character and relationship development that is to come!
Honestly I think this one might end on a cliffhanger, have you read this book? What do you think about it? #frostblood #ellyblake #yafantasy
The plot of this YA fantasy story offers nothing new compared to other mainstream YA fantasy stories I‘ve read yet still managed to hold my attention. I liked the characters (despite the over told storyline) and enjoyed the story behind the war between Firebloods and Frostbloods. While this first installment in the Frostblood Saga trilogy felt familiar, I still found it to be a decent enough addition to the YA fantasy genre.
Just finished reading this book. Fantastic read filled with frosty/firey magic. Sprinkled with a a little romance and just enough war. Definitely one to check out for those who enjoy epic fantasy.
For young adults and older.
Quite enjoying this book. First book I have read by this author and loving the style of writing. I have to check out more 🙂📚☕️
In a world of ice, she will burn.
My latest read ⭐️ ⭐️ 📚

This is another pick a book, do a look from January. 😅 I loved this series so much. Though the outline of the story seemed familiar the way it was told was amazing and I fell in love with multiple characters throughout the 3 books.
Genre: Fantasy Fiction
Author: Elly Blake
Date started: 19/11/7
Date completed: 19/11/24
Brief Summary: 17 years old Ruby is a Fireblood who has concealed her powers from the cruel Frostblood king. Despite her unpredictable abilities, Ruby trains with the rebels and the infuriating. However, she was captured and forced to compete in the king's arena.
Why this book? As I read the summary it gave me chills, it was fascinating.
400 pages
Fireblood Ruby must both learn to master her powers and find a way to survive in the land ruled by Frostbloods. YA fantasy isn‘t my thing, but I had this from a subscription box so I thought I‘d give it a try. I enjoyed it much more than I expected to and found it to be well-written. I‘m not sure I plan to continue the trilogy, but this was satisfying.
Three stars, not so bad but not so original either. I'm still in doubt if I'll go on reading this series, not many hooks left to keep me interested enough. Also #F for #AtoZLitsy
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4.5/5)
This was a quick read that I enjoyed. Ruby started off a bit annoying, but her witty comebacks and sass won me over by the end. I also enjoyed the enemies-to-lovers trope that is used, and I got a hint of Throne of Glass and Hunger Games vibes. I personally am not a fan of Marella, but hope she improves as the series continues. In addition, the ending gave us a partially-satisfying ending that sets up for “Fireblood”.
This book is pretty good. I wish there was something less than pick but more than so so. The pacing of this book is a little off as I found it to be very interesting then it would start to drag. At times it felt like two different stories shoved together. But it was a pleasant and easy read. If you‘re looking to be entertained this is a good book for that.
“The reign of ice must end”
This reminded me of Victoria Aveyard‘s Red Queen. Nonetheless, I enjoyed it just the same!
It‘s been a long week. Staying in tonight to read a good book 📖
“What are you doing?” Arcus shouted.
“Saving the books!”
Always save the books from a fire 🔥 📚
I sped through this, but didn‘t really love it.
It‘s a fun read, but the romance was meh. I‘ll probably read the others.
“Those who can‘t control themselves will find themselves under the control of others.” (pg 44)
"They spilled across the floor like drops of blood, crushed under his boots as he pulled me out into moonlight."
Personally, i loved this book to the first page!!!
Loved the 1st book in series. 2nd one didnt live up to the first. Still a great series
I really enjoyed this one. Good YA fantasy/adventure with a little romance in there. A strong lead female who didn‘t annoy me. Reminiscent a bit to me of Victoria Aveyard‘s series. All good and recommended. I will be picking up the next in the series.
I liked this book as I liked #ThroneofGlass or a similar book. I gave 4⭐ to #Frostblood because I loved the story but it's true that you won't read anything new if you read this book. Idk, I only know that i need to read the second book asap, because this thing with the throne and the minax keeps me interested 🙊❄
So, if you liked Throne of Glass or Red Queen, you'll like this one ❄
This is getting better! It still reminds me of ToG but i'm liking it very much! It's a fast reading, with not too many descriptions and it has enough mystery to keep me interested 🙊

I'm currently reading four books but i'm focused on #Frostblood and #TheLastStar. I'm liking them both but i'm still at the beginning so i could change my mind 😂.
I'm reading Frostblood *right now* and it reminds me of #ThroneofGlass. The beginning of the story is very similar but i like it 🙊
5/5 ⭐
I absolutely love this book!
I was surprise with how the storyline turned out at the end.
It was a page turner and a book you don't want to put down. I highly recommend this book. You'll be on magic spell from page one to the end.
So I couldn‘t wait until I got off work to open everything, and look at this treasure trove of riches @Megnogged sent me! Thank you so much! I gasped when I saw the signed book. You are a generous, thoughtful, and lovely person who has obviously figured me out. 😍☺️🎃

Think this might be a winter read this year
I really enjoyed Frostblood and can't wait to read Fireblood.
