pickI always know I‘m going to get a good story when I read M. R. Carey books, and this is no exception. It‘s a tense, menacing story that brings new meaning to ‘body snatchers‘. It‘s a slow burner, but I enjoyed the journey!
pickI finished this while mowing the #greengrassofhome and really like it. It spends a lot of time on an adult subplot (trigger warning for domestic abuse) but for my money, the Mc and hero is a little girl. Read if you liked girl with all the gifts and paranormal horror alla Stephen King.

pickThis book had me from the get-go. The action kept building; the pace accelerating. The climax had my heart pounding fiercely. The resolution, however, left me wanting. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

pickDefinitely enjoyed this one more than Fellside. So far I am 3.5 out of 4 for M.R. Carey books read. (The .5 is for Fellside because while I somewhat enjoyed it the book mostly fell flat for me).

I am so ready to have the next few days off of work so I can finally catch up on my reading. I am excited to finally be starting this one. I enjoyed The Girl With All The Gifts & The Boy on the Bridge but Fellside fell a but short for me. Here is hoping this one doesn't disappoint.
